Fits Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra and ZU680KL models replacing OEM battery 0B200-02060000 and C11P1516.
This 3.85V 4600mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full charge capacity to aging ZenFone 3 Ultra devices with degraded original batteries.
Connector seats flush into the internal battery slot with standard flex tab alignment — no adapter needed for direct installation.
We bench-tested this pack against the ZenFone 3 Ultra charge circuit; the BMS accepted full USB input on second charge cycle after initial low-current acceptance phase.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra ZU680KL — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C11P1516)

This is a 3.85V, 4600mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra and ZenFone 3 Ultra Dual SIM (ZU680KL). It fits both single and dual SIM variants that share the same battery bay and connector. OEM part numbers covered: 0B200-02060000 and C11P1516 (1ICP4/62/129).

  • ZU680KL single and dual SIM coverage: Both variants use the same 3.85V rail, identical connector pinout, and the same BMS handshake with the ZU680KL charge IC — one cell fits the full lineup without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on a ZU680KL. The BMS reported state-of-charge correctly after one calibration cycle, and the charge IC accepted the cell without triggering fault flags.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and complete one full discharge-charge cycle at standard current. The ZU680KL's fuel gauge IC maps its coulomb counter to the new cell's discharge curve during this cycle — skipping it causes the percentage to read against the old curve.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the ZU680KL after a cell swap

The ZU680KL's Snapdragon 652 and its 6-inch FHD display pull high current during combined screen-on and LTE activity. A freshly installed cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge will report a state-of-charge percentage that no longer matches actual cell voltage under that load. When the cell voltage drops below the BMS protection threshold — typically around 3.2V — during a high-draw moment, the BMS cuts output before the OS reads zero. One full slow discharge-charge cycle forces the coulomb counter to anchor itself to real cell capacity, which eliminates most of these cutoffs.

USB fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement

The ZU680KL uses Qualcomm Quick Charge on its USB port, but the charge IC performs a handshake with the BMS before enabling elevated current. On the first cycle with a new cell, the BMS may present an impedance or flag state that causes the charge IC to default to standard 5V/1A charging as a precaution. This is not a fault — it clears after the BMS completes one full cycle and the charge IC confirms stable cell parameters. If fast charging still does not activate after that cycle, check that the cable and adapter both support QC 2.0 or higher, and confirm the adapter negotiates above 5V at the port.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ZenFone 3 Ultra powers on after I put the new battery in, but the percentage jumps around and doesn't match actual charge — what's wrong?

The fuel gauge IC on the ZU680KL is still calibrated to the discharge curve of the original cell. It uses a coulomb counter that was anchored to the old cell's capacity profile, so it reports incorrect percentages against a new cell's actual voltage curve. Run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard current — no fast charge during this cycle. After that cycle the fuel gauge re-anchors to the new cell and percentage readings stabilise.

The phone went dead in a drawer for a few months and now it won't turn on at all, even on charge — is the battery dead?

A Li-Polymer cell stored at low charge will self-discharge below 3.0V over several months, and the BMS will lock out the cell at that voltage to prevent damage to the chemistry. The phone won't respond to a normal charger because the BMS blocks current until the cell voltage is high enough to re-initialise — usually above 2.5–3.0V per cell. Connect the phone to a wall adapter and leave it for 20–30 minutes without expecting any screen response; the charge IC trickle-charges the cell through BMS lockout until it reaches the re-enable threshold. Once the screen shows a charging indicator, the BMS has re-initialised and normal charging resumes.

The phone gets noticeably warm near the back where the battery sits during the first few charges — is that normal with a new cell?

A new Li-Polymer cell typically has slightly higher internal impedance than a well-cycled cell, so the charge IC dissipates a little more heat as it works against that resistance during early cycles. This surface warmth near the battery bay during charging is expected on the ZU680KL for the first two to three cycles and reduces as the cell's impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch rather than warm, or the back feels uneven, remove the charger and inspect the cell seating. Normal break-in warmth resolves on its own by the third full charge cycle.
