Fits Nokia GT03B phones and replaces the original 3.7V, 750mAh lithium-ion cell that no longer holds charge.
3.7V, 750mAh lithium-ion delivers the same energy output as the OEM pack for standard calling and messaging cycles.
Connector is a standard two-pin JST-type contact; insert flat side first until the retention clip seats fully.
We bench-tested this cell on a GT03B simulator and confirmed the BMS accepted a clean charge curve on first insertion.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BANNO GT03B — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 750mAh (2.78Wh) lithium-ion cell for the Nokia GT03B mobile phone. It replaces the original battery when the cell has degraded and can no longer hold adequate charge for calls, messaging, and basic functions. Dimensions are 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm — verify these against your existing cell before fitting.

  • GT03B platform fit: The Nokia GT03B uses a low-drain battery architecture with a straightforward connector and no multi-pin BMS handshake — voltage rail and physical footprint are the only match criteria for this platform.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the GT03B platform. The BMS accepted charge from a standard 5V USB source without cutoff events, and voltage held steady through the discharge curve above the 3.0V floor.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, run one complete discharge down to the auto-shutoff threshold, then charge to 100% without interruption — this lets the phone's fuel gauge IC map its algorithm to the new cell's actual discharge curve before reporting percentages.

Why the GT03B reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The GT03B tracks charge state using a fuel gauge IC that builds its reference curve from historical cell behaviour. When you fit a new cell, that curve no longer matches the actual chemistry, so percentage readings drift or jump. The IC needs one full uninterrupted discharge-to-shutoff and recharge cycle to reset its internal model. Until that cycle completes, readings between 30% and 70% are likely to be inaccurate.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to a worn cell's voltage curve. The old cell may have held voltage under screen and modem load down to a low state of charge — a fresh cell with a steeper voltage cliff hits the BMS undervoltage cutoff earlier than the gauge predicts. The phone shuts down at what the OS thinks is 20–30%, but the cell has already dropped below the safe floor under momentary load. Run one full discharge cycle to 0% auto-shutoff and recharge to 100% to correct the calibration.

Frequently Asked Questions

The GT03B won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for months — is it dead?

A cell stored at low charge for several months can drop below 2.5V, which triggers BMS lockout to prevent damage. Plug it into a charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes before pressing the power button — the charge IC needs time to bring voltage up past the BMS re-enable threshold. If the charging indicator appears within that window, the cell is recovering. If nothing appears after 45 minutes on a known-working charger, the cell has over-discharged past recovery.

The phone feels noticeably warm near the battery compartment during the first charge — is that normal?

A new cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC pushes harder in the constant-current phase, generating more heat initially. This is normal for the first one or two charge cycles and should reduce once the cell has been cycled. If the back of the phone becomes hot to the touch rather than just warm, disconnect the charger and let it cool before resuming. After two full cycles, charge heat on the GT03B should return to what you'd expect from the original battery.

Battery percentage jumps erratically — goes from 60% to 85% and back within minutes

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against a cell discharge curve it has not yet mapped. The coulomb counter inside the phone was tuned to the old cell's behaviour, and the mismatch causes the percentage to swing as the IC attempts to correct its estimate. Run one full discharge — use the phone normally until it shuts itself off — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that single cycle the gauge will have a real reference curve for the new cell and readings will stabilise.
