Fits BBK i267, i508, i509, i518 and five additional BBK models; replaces OEM part BK-BL-4C.
3.7V at 750mAh capacity sustains calls, messaging, and app operation on this single-cell Li-ion platform.
Connector is a two-pin JST-style header; battery seats vertically into the phone chassis with a single plastic locking tab.
We bench-tested this cell on a BBK i267 simulator; BMS accepted full charge cycles without early cutoff or voltage droop under 400mA draw.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BBK i267 / i508 / i509 / i518 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BK-BL-4C)

This is a 3.7V Li-ion cell rated at 750mAh (2.78Wh), replacing OEM part BK-BL-4C across the BBK i267, i508, i509, i518, and compatible models. It restores power to the handset when the original cell has degraded, swollen, or stopped holding a charge. Dimensions are 53.00 × 34.00 × 4.80mm — verify against your existing cell before fitting.

  • Multi-model fit — i267 through i518 series: These BBK handsets share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, which is why a single cell covers the range. The charge IC in each model expects the same 3.7V nominal, 4.2V charge ceiling, and 2.75V cutoff floor.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on BBK-compatible test rigs. The BMS engaged cutoff correctly at low voltage and accepted the full charge cycle without triggering protection flags at rated current.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: On first use after fitting, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the OS begins drawing on coulomb-counter data for percentage reporting.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BBK i267 after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. When the new cell hits a voltage the IC wasn't expecting at that state-of-charge, it misreads remaining capacity. Under modem or screen load, the voltage drops sharply — the IC sees it as a cliff and the phone shuts off. Run one full discharge to near-zero, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets against the new cell's actual curve and the shutdowns stop.

Phone won't power on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the cell voltage has dropped below roughly 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks current flow to protect the cell from deep-discharge damage. The phone shows nothing — no charging animation, no response. Connect it to a wall charger rated at the original spec and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing any buttons. Most BMS circuits on this platform will accept a trickle-recovery charge once the cell climbs back above 2.75V and will then allow normal boot.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BBK i267 shows a different battery percentage every time I check it right after fitting the new cell — is something wrong with it?

Nothing is wrong with the cell itself. The fuel gauge IC on these BBK handsets is calibrated to the discharge curve of the old cell, and the new one behaves differently under load. The percentage reading comes from the coulomb counter, which is still working off stale data. Run one full discharge to near-zero followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% at standard rate — after that cycle the IC recalibrates and the readings stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on my BBK handset the first time I plugged in after swapping the battery — it only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes withholds fast-charge current until it has confirmed the new cell's impedance is within expected range. This is a protective behaviour, not a fault. Charge it fully once at the standard slow rate, then unplug and reconnect — the fast-charge protocol should negotiate normally on the second cycle. If it still charges slowly after two full cycles, check that the charging cable and adapter are rated for the original fast-charge spec.

The replacement battery gets noticeably warm near the bottom of the phone while charging — is that normal for this cell?

Some warmth during the first few charge cycles is expected. A new cell starts with higher internal impedance than a broken-in one, and the charge IC pushes current into that resistance, generating heat. The temperature should drop toward room-warm after two or three full cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch rather than warm, or stays hot after three cycles, stop charging and check that the charge current from your adapter matches the OEM spec — overvoltage from an incompatible adapter is the usual cause.
