Fits VIBO K520 smartphone; replaces OEM battery part N/A — original pack designation not publicly listed.
3.7V at 1000mAh delivers standard Li-ion voltage for this handset; capacity matches original cell output.
Connector type and orientation confirmed against K520 slot — physical fit verified; no adapter required.
Bench test showed BMS acceptance on first insertion; fuel gauge IC began recalibration cycle immediately after boot.
On first charge after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the phone's fuel gauge recalibrate against the new cell curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

VIBO K520 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-ion battery for the VIBO K520 smartphone. It fits directly into the K520 and restores the phone's ability to hold a charge when the original cell has degraded. Capacity is 3.7Wh as shipped.

  • K520 cell fit: The K520 uses a single-cell Li-ion pack at 3.7V nominal. This replacement matches the connector pinout and physical footprint — 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm — so the back cover seats correctly without pressure on the battery contacts.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS held cutoff cleanly at the low-voltage threshold and accepted a full charge without tripping the protection circuit under standard 5V USB input.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installing this cell, run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before use. The K520's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — skipping this step causes the percentage counter to read incorrectly for several cycles.

Why the K520 reports the wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The K520 uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that builds its capacity model over charge and discharge cycles. When you swap the cell, that model still reflects the old battery's degraded curve. The gauge will show 100% before the cell is actually full, or drop suddenly near 20–30% as the new cell's actual voltage floor differs from what the IC expects. One complete discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the IC to rewrite its reference curve against the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This is a voltage cliff, not a calibration error. Under modem or display load, the cell's output voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge percentage suggests. If the K520 cuts off at 20–30% and restarts immediately, the cell is hitting the BMS low-voltage cutoff — approximately 3.0V — while the gauge still reads higher. Run a full recalibration cycle first. If shutdowns continue after two full cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated and making clean contact on all three pins.

Frequently Asked Questions

The K520 powers on after the battery swap but shuts off randomly at around 25% — is the new battery faulty?

This is almost always the fuel gauge IC reading from the old cell's discharge curve, not a faulty cell. The coulomb counter hasn't recalibrated to the new battery yet, so it misjudges how much charge remains when voltage drops under load. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge straight to 100% without interrupting. If random shutdowns continue after two complete cycles, reseat the battery connector and confirm all three contact pins are clean.

Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery — the phone only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, some proprietary charge protocols won't negotiate at full current because the BMS presents higher impedance on a new, uncycled cell. The charge IC defaults to a lower current rate as a precaution. Complete one full standard charge at the slower rate, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — fast charge handshake typically resumes from the second cycle onward once the cell's internal resistance drops slightly with use.

The replacement battery sat in a drawer for months before I installed it — now the K520 won't turn on at all.

A Li-ion cell stored for an extended period can self-discharge below 2.5V per cell, which triggers BMS lockout to prevent damage. The BMS will block normal charging from a fully locked-out state. Connect the phone to a 5V USB charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing any buttons — the charge IC applies a trickle current at roughly 0.05C to recover the cell above the 2.5V threshold before switching to normal charge mode. If the phone still shows no charge indicator after 30 minutes, try a different USB cable and a wall adapter rather than a PC port.
