Fits BLU Energy X2, E050, E050U smartphones; replaces OEM part C906052400L.
3.8V, 2900mAh lithium-ion cell restores full charge cycles to aging devices.
Connector type is proprietary BLU contact; battery slides into slot vertically.
We bench-tested the cell at full discharge and saw stable voltage curve throughout the cycle.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Energy X2 — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C906052400L)

This is a 3.8V, 2900mAh lithium-ion battery for the BLU Energy X2 smartphone (models E050 and E050U). It replaces part number C906052400L directly. Dimensions are 89.66 × 59.90 × 4.60mm — measure your original before fitting if you are unsure.

  • Energy X2 / E050 / E050U compatibility: All three model numbers reference the same hardware platform. They share an identical battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell fits all three without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Energy X2 platform. The BMS accepted the cell, thermistor readings stayed within spec, and the charge IC completed full cycles without cutoff errors.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Why the Energy X2 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The fuel gauge IC on the Energy X2 builds its charge model from the discharge curve of the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the physical cell's actual voltage-to-capacity relationship. The IC reads voltage and maps it against the old model, so the percentage shown on screen is off. One full discharge down to auto-shutoff and a complete recharge resets the coulomb counter and rebuilds an accurate curve for the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops below the modem or display's minimum rail voltage under load — even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. The old fuel gauge model predicts a gentle voltage slope, but the new cell hits a steeper voltage cliff at low state-of-charge. The phone cuts out before the gauge reaches zero. Run two full discharge-recharge cycles without fast charging; once the fuel gauge IC recalibrates, the shutoff threshold aligns correctly and the premature cutoff stops.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BLU Energy X2 won't power on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few weeks before I installed it — is it dead?

Likely not. Lithium-ion cells in storage self-discharge slowly, and if this cell dropped below roughly 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent damage and will not accept a normal charge. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 30–40 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC delivers a trickle current that pulls the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, at which point normal charging resumes.

Fast charging stopped working on my Energy X2 after I put in the replacement battery — the phone just slow-charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on the new cell sometimes withholds the high-current charge approval handshake until it has completed one baseline cycle. The charge IC sees an uncalibrated cell and defaults to standard current as a precaution. Run one full charge to 100% at standard speed, then discharge to auto-shutoff, and recharge — fast charging should reinstate itself on the second or third cycle once the BMS has logged a complete cycle.

The battery percentage on my Energy X2 keeps jumping around erratically — it went from 45% to 62% without charging.

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve and the estimates are unstable until it has enough cycle data to build an accurate model. This is normal for the first two to three cycles after a cell replacement. Each full discharge-recharge cycle gives the coulomb counter more data points. By the third complete cycle, percentage readings stabilise — if they do not, let the phone discharge fully to auto-shutoff and charge uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging early.
