Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Poco X6 Pro — 3.89V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BM5T)
The BM5T is a 3.89V, 4900mAh (19.06Wh) lithium-polymer cell for the Poco X6 Pro smartphone. It replaces a degraded or failed original battery that no longer holds charge. This part restores power to the display, modem, processor, and all onboard functions.
- Poco X6 Pro fitment: The X6 Pro uses a direct-contact flex connector with a BMS that authenticates cell voltage and impedance at boot. BM5T matches the original connector pinout, cell dimensions (85.60 × 64.30 × 5.20mm), and nominal voltage so the device powers on without triggering a hardware authentication fault.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the BM5T through charge and discharge cycles on the X6 Pro platform. The BMS accepted the cell on first connection, reported stable voltage, and the charge IC engaged without throwing a fault state.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging pushes amperage into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
A new cell has a slightly different discharge curve than the original. The fuel gauge IC on the X6 Pro was calibrated to the old cell, so it misreads state of charge on the replacement. Under high load — modem handoff, screen-on brightness spike — the actual cell voltage drops below the hardware cutoff threshold before the OS reports zero percent. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge to auto-shutdown, then a full charge without interruption. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets its reference points against the new cell curve.
USB-PD fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement
The X6 Pro's charge IC runs a handshake with the BMS before allowing high-current fast charging. On a brand-new cell, internal impedance is slightly elevated compared to a broken-in cell, which can cause the charge IC to default to standard 5V charging on the first cycle. This is not a fault — it clears after the first full discharge-charge cycle once the IC has logged a baseline impedance reading. If fast charging still does not engage after two full cycles, check the USB-C port for debris and confirm the cable supports the required current rating.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Poco X6 Pro shuts off at around 25% after putting in the new BM5T — is the battery faulty?
The battery is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the X6 Pro is still reading the discharge curve of the old cell, so it misjudges the voltage cliff on the new one. Under load — modem, screen, background sync — real cell voltage drops faster than the OS percentage suggests, triggering a hardware cutoff before the display hits zero. Run one full uninterrupted discharge to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% without stopping, and the coulomb counter will recalibrate to the new cell.
The phone shows erratic or jumping battery percentage after the BM5T swap — sometimes it drops 10% in seconds, then jumps back up.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against an unfamiliar discharge curve. The coulomb counter accumulated its reference data over hundreds of cycles on the original cell; the BM5T has a different impedance profile, so early readings are unstable. The jumping typically settles within one to three full charge-discharge cycles as the IC rebuilds its state-of-charge map. Do not top up or interrupt charges during this period — let each cycle run fully from discharge to 100%.
My Poco X6 Pro won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in the phone for a few weeks without charging.
A lithium-polymer cell left uncharged in a device will self-discharge. If voltage drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters a protective lockout and blocks normal charging to prevent thermal runaway on a deeply discharged cell. Plug in a charger and leave the phone completely undisturbed for 20–30 minutes — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell at low current to bring it above the lockout threshold before resuming standard charging. If the screen shows no response after 30 minutes, try a different USB-C cable rated for charging current, not just data transfer.
