Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Xiaomi K60 Ultra / K60 / 13T Pro — 3.88V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BM5S)
The BM5S is a 3.88V, 4850mAh (18.82Wh) Li-Polymer cell that fits the Xiaomi K60 Ultra, K60, and 13T Pro. It replaces a degraded original battery that can no longer hold a stable voltage under display, modem, or processor load. Physical dimensions are 85.40 × 64.60 × 6.00mm — confirm fitment before installation.
- K60 Ultra, K60, and 13T Pro fitment: These three models share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — all three accept the BM5S cell without modification to the flex cable or connector orientation.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the K60 platform and confirmed the BMS accepted the handshake, the fuel gauge IC began tracking capacity, and charge current ramped correctly through each charging stage.
- First-cycle fast charge behaviour: On first use after installation, disable Xiaomi's HyperCharge for one full discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging pushes elevated current into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff, not a capacity fault. The fuel gauge IC carries over calibration data from the old degraded cell and misjudges when the new cell's voltage will drop below the processor's minimum rail. Under peak modem or screen load, the phone pulls enough current to collapse voltage faster than the gauge predicts. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual discharge curve. After that cycle, the gauge tracks correctly and shutdowns at low percentage stop.
HyperCharge not activating after battery replacement
Xiaomi's proprietary fast charge protocol negotiates with the battery BMS before the charge IC ramps current above standard 5V input. On the first cycle with a new cell, the BMS may not complete that negotiation and the phone defaults to standard charge rates instead. This is not a fault — it clears after the fuel gauge completes its first full calibration cycle. Charge once to 100% on standard charging, then reconnect the HyperCharge adapter and the protocol handshake will complete normally at approximately 4.35V cell voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Xiaomi K60 Ultra shuts off at around 25% after putting in the new BM5S — is the battery faulty?
The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC carried over its calibration from the old degraded cell and cannot yet predict when the new cell's voltage will collapse under modem or display load. Run the phone down to automatic shutdown, then charge fully to 100% in one uninterrupted session. After that single calibration cycle, the coulomb counter resets to the new cell's discharge curve and the early shutdowns stop.
The phone shows 100% for a long time then drops fast — the percentage feels completely wrong after the swap.
The fuel gauge IC uses a coulomb counter that was trained on the old cell's charge curve. Until it runs one full discharge-charge cycle on the new BM5S, the percentage readings will be erratic — sitting high for too long, then falling sharply. Do not partially charge or interrupt the first cycle. Let the battery drain to shutdown naturally, then charge to 100% without unplugging. One complete cycle corrects the counter calibration and the percentage tracking stabilises.
The phone gets noticeably warm near the battery area while charging the new cell — is that normal?
A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates more heat during the constant-current phase on the first few cycles. This is normal and reduces as the cell conditions over the first three to five charge cycles. Keep the phone out of its case for the first two charges to let heat dissipate freely. If the device stays warm past the constant-voltage phase — above roughly 4.3V — or triggers a thermal warning, stop charging and check that the flex connector is fully seated.
