Fits Samsung SCH-X319 flip phone; replaces original 3.7V lithium-ion battery.
3.7V and 900mAh capacity deliver sufficient power for calls and messaging on this compact device.
Battery slides into the standard slot beneath the rear cover; connector seats flush with no locking tabs required.
We bench-tested this cell across standby and call cycles; BMS accepted charge without early cutoff or fault codes.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without incoming calls to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung SCH-X319 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 900mAh (3.33Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Samsung SCH-X319 flip phone. It replaces the original cell when the existing battery no longer holds a usable charge. Fits the SCH-X319 and X319 variants.

  • SCH-X319 platform fit: The X319 uses a fixed 3.7V single-cell Li-ion bay with a three-contact connector. Both the SCH-X319 and X319 share the same physical bay dimensions and voltage rail, so this cell fits both without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a representative 3.7V single-cell platform. The BMS accepted charge from a standard 4.2V Li-ion charger and engaged cutoff correctly at the low-voltage threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled. The fuel gauge IC on the X319 calibrates its internal model against the cell's actual discharge curve — skipping this step leads to inaccurate percentage readings until the IC catches up.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

The X319's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. A new cell has a steeper voltage cliff at lower states of charge than the worn cell the IC was tracking. When the phone draws current for a call or keypad backlight, voltage dips sharply at that uncalibrated threshold and the protection circuit interprets it as a undervoltage event. One full discharge-charge cycle — draining to auto-shutdown, then charging uninterrupted to 100% — resets the IC's reference curve and eliminates the false cutoff.

Phone won't power on after battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells discharged below roughly 2.5V trigger the BMS lockout, which blocks normal charging to prevent thermal runaway on a deeply depleted cell. A charger that starts at full current will be refused. To recover, connect the phone to a low-current USB source — a PC port rather than a wall adapter — and leave it untouched for 15–20 minutes. This allows the BMS to accept a trickle pre-charge that brings cell voltage back above the 2.9V re-enable threshold before normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

The battery percentage on my SCH-X319 jumps around and doesn't match actual charge — why?

The fuel gauge IC on the X319 builds its percentage model from the discharge curve of the previous cell. When a new cell goes in, the IC is still referencing the old cell's profile, so it misreports state of charge until it recalibrates. Run one full uninterrupted discharge to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle the IC locks onto the new cell's curve and readings stabilise.

My SCH-X319 gets noticeably warm near the battery while charging the new cell — is that a fault?

A new Li-ion cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. The charge IC pushes current into higher resistance, which generates more heat in the first few cycles. This is normal and decreases as the cell's impedance drops over three to five charge cycles. If the phone stays warm throughout a full charge past the fifth cycle, check that the charging contact pins on the battery bay are clean and making full contact.

The SCH-X319 shuts off during a call even though the battery showed 25% remaining.

This is a voltage-sag shutdown, not a capacity issue. When the modem transmits, current draw spikes and the cell voltage drops sharply — if the fuel gauge IC is uncalibrated to the new cell, that sag crosses the undervoltage cutoff threshold prematurely. The fix is the same recalibration cycle: discharge fully to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% in one uninterrupted session. After recalibration the IC accounts for the new cell's voltage behaviour under load and the 25% cutoff disappears.
