Fits Samsung SGH-G810 and replaces OEM part AB474350BE lithium-ion cell.
3.7V, 1000mAh capacity sustains calls and messaging on this mid-2000s smartphone platform.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a single locking tab on the right edge.
We bench-tested this cell in an SGH-G810 — BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion without fault codes.
After installation, run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before relying on the phone's battery percentage display — the fuel gauge IC needs to recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung SGH-G810 / SGH-D780 / GT-i8510 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (AB474350BE)

This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-ion battery for the Samsung SGH-G810, SGH-D780, SGH-i550, and GT-i8510, among others. It replaces OEM part AB474350BE and its variants. Fit the same footprint: 52.80 × 42.80 × 5.00mm, same connector, same BMS handshake.

  • Multi-model fit — SGH and GT series: These handsets share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.7V voltage rail, and OEM connector pinout. The BMS communicates charge state the same way across the SGH-D780, SGH-i550, and GT-i8510, so one cell revision covers all.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the SGH-G810. The BMS tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff, and charge termination fired at the right point without overrun.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: On first use, run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle with fast charging disabled. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the SGH-G810

This happens when the cell voltage drops below what the modem or display load can sustain, even though the reported percentage looks safe. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old, degraded cell curve — it reads voltage incorrectly against the new cell. The phone's CPU sees a voltage cliff and shuts down to protect the board. One full discharge cycle resets the coulomb counter and stops the premature cutoff.

Percentage jumping erratically after swapping the cell

After installing a new cell, the SGH-G810's fuel gauge IC has no reference data for the replacement's actual capacity and internal resistance. It interpolates charge state from incomplete data, which produces jumps of 10–15% in either direction. This is not a faulty battery — it is the IC recalibrating. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without interruption and the percentage readout will stabilise.

Frequently Asked Questions

My SGH-G810 won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

The BMS locks out when cell voltage drops below roughly 2.5V during storage. The phone won't respond to the power button because the protection circuit is blocking current to prevent damage. Connect the original charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything — the BMS needs a trickle charge to bring the cell above the recovery threshold before the phone will boot. If the screen shows no charging indicator after 30 minutes, try a different cable before assuming the cell is faulty.

The phone feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is something wrong?

A new cell starts with higher internal impedance than a cell that has been cycled a few times. The charge IC has to work harder to push current in, and that converts more energy to heat than usual. This is normal for the first two or three charge cycles and settles down as the cell's impedance drops. If it's uncomfortably hot to touch — not just warm — stop charging and check that the charger voltage matches the original 5V spec.

Fast charging stopped working after I swapped the battery on the SGH-D780 — it only charges slowly now?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on the replacement may not immediately accept the handset's proprietary fast-charge negotiation signal. The charge IC defaults to standard 500mA USB charging as a fallback. Complete one full slow charge-discharge cycle, then reconnect the original charger — the BMS and charge IC complete their handshake on the second cycle and fast charging resumes at normal current.
