Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 GX650RM-LS016W — 15.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C41N2103)
This is a 15.4V 5800mAh (89.32Wh) Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 GX650 series. It fits the GX650RM, GX650RS, GX650RW, GX650RX and over 58 additional GX650 variants sharing the C41N2103 / 0B200-04120000 part number. The 4-cell pack matches the original voltage and capacity spec exactly.
- GX650 series compatibility: All listed GX650 variants run the same 15.4V four-cell Li-Polymer architecture with an identical connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol. That shared platform means one cell services the full GX650 lineup without firmware conflicts or connector adapters.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a GX650 chassis under combined CPU, GPU, and ScreenPad Plus display load. The BMS handled the high-draw spikes without triggering an overcurrent cutoff, and charge termination landed cleanly at 89.32Wh on calibrated test equipment.
- Post-install calibration on the GX650: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge until the laptop hibernates on low battery, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the machine. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell
The GX650 BIOS reads health data from EEPROM registers that store cycle count and capacity history from the previous cell. A fresh cell carries no matching EEPROM data, so the firmware flags it as degraded before it has run a single cycle. This is a firmware interpretation issue, not a fault with the new battery. Running the full discharge-to-hibernate then uninterrupted charge cycle described above forces the BIOS to overwrite the stale EEPROM values with current cell data. After one or two full cycles, the health reading corrects itself in both the BIOS and MyASUS.
Laptop shutting down at 20–30% shown on the fuel gauge after battery swap
The fuel gauge IC on the GX650 board calibrates its discharge curve against the specific cell it has learned. Drop in a new cell and the IC still maps voltage to percentage using the old cell's curve — which does not match the new chemistry profile. When the new cell hits its real voltage cliff under GPU and dual-display load, the system shuts down even though Windows still shows 20–30% remaining. The fix is calibration: discharge the machine to forced hibernate at least twice on the new cell, charging fully between each cycle. After two full cycles, the fuel gauge IC has enough data to map the new cell's actual voltage curve, and the false shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
MyASUS says my new battery is at 0% health — is the replacement cell dead out of the box?
It is not a dead cell. The GX650 BIOS pulls health data from EEPROM registers written by the old battery, so a fresh cell with no history reads as degraded before it runs a single charge cycle. Discharge the laptop fully until it hibernates, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using it. That one learn cycle rewrites the EEPROM baseline and the health reading in MyASUS corrects itself.
Windows is showing the correct Wh rating for my old battery, but the replacement shows a different number in system info — did I get the wrong cell?
The Wh figure shown in Windows reads from the EEPROM "design capacity" field on the cell's embedded controller, and different cell batches can carry slightly different rated values even when the actual chemistry is identical. Confirm the physical part number on the cell label matches C41N2103, and verify the voltage reads 15.4V under charge. If both match, the cell is correct — the Wh discrepancy is a label difference, not a capacity difference.
Charge stops at 80% and will not go higher — is the new battery faulty?
Not a battery fault. The GX650 has a BIOS-controlled charge limit setting that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress. It ships enabled on many units and survives battery swaps because it is stored in firmware, not in the battery itself. Open MyASUS, go to Battery Care, and check whether the charge limit mode is active. Switch it off and the battery will charge to 100%.
