Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus VivoBook Pro 16X OLED M7600QE Series — 11.55V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C32N2022)
This is an 11.55V, 8150mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Asus VivoBook Pro 16X OLED lineup, including the M7600QE-L2040T, M7600QE-L2014W, and N7600PC-L2090T. It replaces OEM part numbers C32N2022 and 0B200-04040000. The cell restores portable operation to a 16-inch OLED laptop that draws significant sustained power from both the display and the AMD processor stack.
- M7600QE and N7600PC compatibility: Both series use the same 11.55V three-cell Li-Polymer architecture, the same physical connector, and the same BMS handshake protocol — which is why a single cell covers 46 model variants across the two lines.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge, discharge, and BMS communication checks on the M7600QE platform. The BMS negotiated correctly, charge current stepped down at the expected threshold, and no fault codes were triggered during the test cycle.
- Post-install battery learn cycle: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after replacement
The VivoBook Pro 16X BIOS reads health data from EEPROM registers on the battery controller, not from live cell voltage alone. When a new cell arrives, those registers contain default or mismatched values that the BIOS interprets as degraded capacity. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a calibration gap. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by a complete uninterrupted charge allows the fuel gauge IC to rewrite its learned capacity against the new cell chemistry. After two or three full cycles, the BIOS health indicator normalises.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC's learned capacity model no longer matches the actual cell. Under full CPU and OLED display load, the cell voltage drops faster than the gauge predicts, hitting the BMS low-voltage cutoff while the OS still shows 20–30% remaining. The gauge is reading a capacity map built from the old cell. Force the gauge to relearn by discharging fully to hibernate, then charging to 100% without interruption — repeat twice. If the shutdown threshold stays above 15%, check that the BIOS is not running a custom battery care mode that imposes an early cutoff around 3.4V per cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
My VivoBook Pro 16X is showing the new battery as "0% available (plugged in, not charging)" right after I installed it — what's wrong?
The fuel gauge IC on this platform sometimes locks out charging when it reads no valid EEPROM data from a new cell — it flags the battery as unknown rather than dead. Shut the laptop down fully, remove the AC adapter for 30 seconds, reconnect AC without the battery seated, then reattach the battery while AC is live. This forces the EC to re-initialise the BMS handshake. If the issue persists, boot into BIOS, let it sit on the battery info screen for two minutes, then reboot — the EC re-polls the cell and charging typically begins.
Windows is reporting this battery's capacity as 72Wh but the spec says 94.13Wh — is the cell faulty?
The Wh figure Windows shows comes from the EEPROM design-capacity register on the battery controller, not from a live measurement of the new cell. On a freshly installed cell, that register may not yet match the actual chemistry until the fuel gauge IC completes its first full calibration cycle. Discharge the laptop fully to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After two full cycles, the reported Wh in Windows Battery Report should converge toward 94Wh. If it stabilises well below 90Wh after three cycles, the EEPROM register value is mismatched — check whether a BIOS update is available for the M7600QE, as Asus has patched fuel gauge calibration on this series.
Charge stops at 80% and won't go higher — is this a problem with the replacement cell?
This is almost always the BIOS-controlled Battery Care mode, not a cell fault. Asus ships the VivoBook Pro 16X with a charge limit option in MyASUS and in BIOS that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress. Open MyASUS, go to Customization → Battery Health Charging, and switch from "Balanced Mode" (80% cap) to "Full Capacity Mode." Alternatively, enter BIOS and check the Battery Health Charging setting under the Advanced or Power tab and set it to Maximum. The cell itself has no internal 80% cutoff.
