Fits Medion Erazer Major X20 notebook; replaces OEM battery for this gaming laptop model.
15.2V, 4000mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers 60.8Wh — matches original capacity for full session runtime.
Connector seats into the Erazer Major X20 battery slot with standard friction latch; no adapters needed.
We bench-cycled this cell in the X20 platform; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion without fault codes.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernation cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings that appear after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Medion Erazer Major X20 — 15.2V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery

This 15.2V, 4000mAh (60.8Wh) Li-Polymer cell fits the Medion Erazer Major X20 gaming laptop. It replaces the original pack when the system stops holding a charge or loses significant capacity after extended use. Voltage, connector, and physical dimensions match the stock unit.

  • Erazer Major X20 fitment: The X20 runs a 15.2V four-cell Li-Polymer architecture with a proprietary BMS handshake. This replacement matches that voltage rail and communicates with the system board's fuel gauge IC without triggering a hardware mismatch error.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and controlled discharge under CPU and GPU load. The BMS held charge termination correctly at 100% and the protection circuit tripped as expected at low-voltage cutoff — no premature shutdowns during the test sequence.
  • First-cycle calibration on the Erazer X20: After installation, run the system down to hibernate-cutoff under normal load, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This gives the BIOS battery learn cycle a clean reference point and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.

Why the Erazer X20 BIOS reports poor battery health after a cell swap

The Erazer X20 stores battery health data in EEPROM on the original pack. When a new cell goes in, the BIOS reads no matching history and immediately flags the battery as degraded or unknown. This is a data mismatch, not a fault with the replacement cell. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% lets the system write fresh EEPROM data and clear the health warning. The warning typically disappears after one to two completed learn cycles.

Laptop shuts off at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC still holds calibration data from the old, degraded cell. Under full CPU plus display load, actual cell voltage drops faster than the gauge expects, and the system hits the low-voltage protection cutoff before the displayed percentage reaches zero. The operating system sees a sudden shutdown, not a graceful battery-empty event. Force a full discharge to hibernate, then charge to 100% without interruption — after two or three of these cycles, the gauge recalibrates to the new cell's actual voltage curve and the early shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Erazer X20 BIOS is showing the new battery as 0% health or "unknown" — is the cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The BIOS pulled health data from the old pack's EEPROM and found nothing matching the new cell, so it flagged it as unknown. Run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff under normal use, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After one or two completed cycles the BIOS writes fresh data and the health status updates correctly.

Windows is showing the new battery at 60.8Wh in system info but the fuel gauge reading swings wildly between charges — what's wrong?

The fuel gauge IC is still using calibration data mapped to the old cell's discharge curve. Until it collects real cycle data from the new cell, percentage readings will be unstable. Run two to three full discharge-to-hibernate and uninterrupted charge-to-100% cycles. After that, the IC recalibrates to the new chemistry and the readings stabilise.

The replacement battery stops charging at 80% and will not go higher — is there a fix?

This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a fault with the cell. Medion's firmware on some Erazer models includes a battery care mode that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term wear. Open the Medion battery care utility or check BIOS power settings for a "charge limit" or "battery health mode" option and disable it — the battery will then charge to 100%.
