After one or two full cycles, the BIOS health indicator resets and reports correctly.

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual discharge curve. The percentage reading diverges from true cell voltage, and the system shuts down at what it believes is a safe floor — but is actually a miscalculated point. After calibration, the reported percentage and actual cutoff voltage align — verified at 2.8V per cell at shutdown.
