Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Tactilion P2000L — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (335880)
This is a 7.4V 2000mAh (14.8Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Tactilion P2000L mobile payment terminal. It fits the P2000L directly and uses OEM part number 335880. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds charge through a full merchant shift.
- P2000L platform fit: The P2000L uses a fixed 7.4V two-cell Li-ion pack with a BMS that validates cell voltage and connector polarity at boot. This replacement matches that voltage rail and connector pinout, so the terminal completes its PCI boot handshake without errors.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through repeated boot sequences and simulated transaction loads — receipt printer pulses, card reader draws, and wireless pings together. The BMS held the voltage rail steady and did not trip under combined draw.
- First deployment tip for POS terminals: After installation, complete one full transaction cycle before going live. The P2000L maps battery capacity during normal operation and needs at least one complete power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator correctly.
Payment terminal rebooting mid-transaction after battery swap
The P2000L's receipt printer motor pulls a short current spike — typically 1.5–2A — each time it fires. On a new battery with a conservative BMS, that spike can trip the overcurrent threshold before the BMS learns the load profile. This usually clears after two or three full transaction cycles as the BMS adjusts its overcurrent window. If reboots continue past five transactions, check that the battery contacts are fully seated and the terminal firmware is current.
P2000L not powering on after sitting unused in storage
Li-ion cells left uncharged for several months can drop below 2.5V per cell — the point where most BMS circuits lock the pack into a protection state and refuse to discharge or charge normally. Plug the terminal into its dock and leave it on charge for at least 90 minutes before attempting to power it on. Most BMS circuits will accept a slow trickle charge from the dock and recover the cell voltage above the 3.0V unlock threshold. If the terminal still shows no response after two hours on the charger, the original cell is likely below recovery voltage — this replacement pack starts at a safe storage charge and will not exhibit this fault.

Frequently Asked Questions
My P2000L shows 99% battery and won't move off that reading after charging the new battery overnight — is something wrong?
Nothing is wrong. When a new Li-ion cell is first charged, the charge IC enters a top-off mode and holds the display at 99% until the terminal completes a full discharge-and-recharge cycle to map actual cell capacity. Run the terminal through normal transactions until it prompts you to recharge, then charge it fully. After that first complete cycle, the charge indicator will track accurately.
The P2000L completes its PCI boot screen then immediately restarts when I install this battery — what's causing that?
This is a BMS handshake issue, not a defective battery. The P2000L's PCI boot sequence draws a burst of current to initialise the wireless module and card reader simultaneously; if the BMS has not yet accepted the terminal as a known load, it trips and cuts power before the boot completes. Connect the terminal to the dock charger, let it sit for 20 minutes, then power it on while still docked. The dock's external supply carries the boot load while the BMS completes its initialisation, and subsequent cold boots from battery alone will succeed.
The terminal gets noticeably warm during a heavy run of back-to-back transactions — is the battery causing this?
The heat is coming from the combined draw of the display, receipt printer, wireless radio, and card reader all running together — not from the battery alone. Li-ion cells do generate some heat under sustained load, but the P2000L's thermal profile during a busy transaction period is dominated by the printer motor and wireless module. If the terminal is warm but not hot to the touch and continues processing normally, this is within expected operating range. If it shuts down with a temperature warning, move it out of direct sunlight and allow two minutes for the internal temperature sensor to reset before resuming.
