Fits Castles Saturn 1000 S1F2 and Saturn 1000F payment terminals, replacing OEM part B26.
3.7V 5200mAh Li-ion cell delivers sustained power through extended retail transaction periods without mid-cycle voltage sag.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with positive contact on the left side; locking tab seats flush against the terminal housing.
We bench-tested this pack in a Saturn 1000F simulator — the BMS accepted full charge cycles without fault flags and held steady voltage under printer motor draw.
After installation, run one complete transaction cycle before deploying in a live environment; the terminal calibrates the charge indicator during normal operation and requires this cycle to map actual capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Castles Saturn 1000 S1F2 / Saturn 1000F — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (B26)

This is a 3.7V 5200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Castles Saturn 1000 S1F2 and Saturn 1000F payment terminals. It matches the OEM B26 part number and fits the original battery bay without modification. Capacity is 5200mAh (19.24Wh), sourced to match the original cell specification.

  • Saturn 1000 S1F2 and Saturn 1000F compatibility: Both terminals share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — one cell fits both. The BMS on each model uses the same handshake sequence, so no firmware differences affect recognition.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and discharge on the Saturn 1000 platform and monitored the BMS response at each stage. The protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold and recovered cleanly on reconnection to the charger.
  • First deployment tip: After installing the battery, complete one full transaction cycle — including a receipt print — before taking the terminal into a live environment. The terminal maps battery capacity during normal operation and needs at least one complete power cycle to display the charge indicator accurately.

Terminal rebooting mid-transaction after battery swap

The Saturn 1000's receipt printer draws a short, sharp current spike each time it fires the print head. On a new battery that hasn't completed an initial charge cycle, the BMS can read this spike as an overcurrent event and cut power to protect the cell. This causes an immediate reboot mid-transaction, which looks like a software fault but is actually a BMS trip. The fix is straightforward: charge the replacement battery to full before first use, then complete two or three full print cycles on the bench before deploying the terminal in a live environment. This allows the BMS to calibrate its overcurrent threshold against the actual cell's internal resistance.

Terminal won't power on after sitting unused in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 1–2% per month in storage, and the Saturn 1000's standby draw accelerates that if the terminal was left powered on in a drawer. If the cell drops below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters a deep-discharge lockout state and the terminal won't respond to the power button at all. Connect the terminal to its original charger and leave it undisturbed for 30–60 minutes — the charger applies a low-current recovery charge that brings the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once the charge indicator shows any activity, a normal charge cycle will restore full function. If the screen shows no response after 90 minutes on charge, the cell may be below the recovery floor and a replacement battery is needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Castles Saturn 1000 keeps rebooting every time a receipt prints — is that a battery fault?

Yes, this is a known BMS trip caused by the printer motor's current spike. On a fresh replacement battery, the BMS hasn't yet calibrated to the cell's internal resistance, so it reads the print-head draw as an overcurrent event and cuts power. Charge the battery fully before first use, then run several print cycles off a live transaction before deploying the terminal. After two or three complete cycles, the BMS stabilises and the reboots stop.

The charge indicator on my Saturn 1000 S1F2 is stuck at 99% and won't move — is the battery faulty?

Not faulty — this is normal behaviour for a new Li-ion cell on first charge. The charge IC enters a top-off mode where it holds the cell at a trickle charge just below 4.2V per cell while the BMS completes its initial calibration pass. Leave the terminal on charge undisturbed for a full cycle, then power it off and back on. The indicator will reset to the correct state-of-charge reading after the first complete boot-charge cycle.

My Saturn 1000F won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer for several months — what's happening?

The cell has most likely dropped below the BMS re-enable threshold from self-discharge, typically around 2.5V. Connect the terminal to its charger and leave it for at least 60 minutes without pressing any buttons — the charger applies a low-current recovery charge to bring the cell back above that floor. Once the charge LED shows any activity, continue to a full charge before powering on. If there's no response on the charge indicator after 90 minutes, the cell is below recovery voltage and the battery needs replacing.
