Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

VeriFone Nurit 3010 — 7.2V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (NA200D05C095)
This is a 7.2V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the VeriFone Nurit 3010 portable payment terminal. It matches the original NA200D05C095 specification and fits the Nurit 3010 directly. Capacity is 14.4Wh — identical to the factory cell.
- Nurit 3010 compatibility: The Nurit 3010 uses a dedicated battery bay with a fixed connector orientation and a charge circuit tuned to Ni-MH voltage curves. This cell matches the 7.2V nominal rail and the physical footprint at 86.80 × 52.07 × 14.56mm — no adapter or modification needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Nurit 3010 platform. The terminal's charge IC accepted the cell without fault codes, and the BMS held stable through receipt-print and card-read current spikes.
- First-use calibration on the Nurit 3010: After fitting this battery, complete one full transaction cycle before deploying the terminal in a live environment. The Nurit 3010 maps battery capacity during normal operation and requires at least one complete power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator correctly.
Receipt printer causing voltage sag on the Nurit 3010
The Nurit 3010's thermal printer draws a sharp current spike each time it feeds paper — this is one of the highest instantaneous loads the battery sees during normal use. On a degraded original cell, that spike causes the terminal voltage to sag below the BMS threshold, triggering a soft reset mid-transaction. A fresh 2000mAh cell at full charge handles the printer draw without dropping below the 6.0V cutoff. If the terminal resets only during printing, the battery is the first thing to replace, not the printer hardware.
Terminal not powering on after sitting unused in a drawer
Ni-MH cells self-discharge at roughly 1–2% per day at room temperature. A Nurit 3010 left unused for several months can have a cell voltage too low for the BMS to start the boot sequence. Connect the terminal to its dock or charger and leave it for at least 20 minutes before pressing the power button — the charge IC needs to raise the cell above approximately 5.5V before it will permit startup. If the terminal still shows no response after a 20-minute trickle, leave it on charge for a full two-hour cycle, then retry.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Nurit 3010 reboots every time it prints a receipt — is that the battery?
Yes, that's a classic print-motor current spike causing the battery voltage to sag below the BMS cutoff. A Ni-MH cell that has aged past about 60% of its original capacity can no longer absorb the instantaneous load the thermal printer demands. Replace the battery and the symptom stops immediately. Confirm the fix by running five consecutive print cycles — if no reboot occurs, the cell was the cause.
The Nurit 3010 charge indicator is stuck at 99% and won't move after I installed the new battery — what's wrong?
Nothing is wrong. The charge IC enters a top-off mode on a new Ni-MH cell and holds at 99% until it confirms the cell is fully conditioned. This typically resolves after one complete charge-to-discharge-to-charge cycle. Run the terminal through a normal transaction session until the low-battery warning appears, then charge it fully from flat. After that cycle, the indicator will track normally.
The Nurit 3010 won't complete its boot sequence — it gets to the startup screen then cuts out. Could this be the battery?
Yes. The PCI boot sequence on the Nurit 3010 draws more sustained current than standby mode, and a cell that appears functional at rest can still fail under boot load. The BMS trips on the sustained draw before the terminal finishes initialising. Charge the replacement battery fully before the first boot attempt — plug the terminal into the dock for at least two hours, then power on. If the terminal still cuts out mid-boot, check that the battery connector is fully seated; a partial connection increases resistance and worsens the voltage drop.
