Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HP iPAQ 200 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (410814-001)
This 3.7V Li-ion battery replaces the internal cell in the HP iPAQ 200, 210, 211, and 212 pocket PC series. It carries a 2200mAh (8.14Wh) capacity matching the original HP spec. OEM part numbers covered include 410814-001, 419306-001, FB037AA, HSTNH-H02CX, and several others across the iPAQ 200 line.
- iPAQ 200 series fit: The 210, 211, and 212 all share the same battery bay geometry, connector pin layout, and BMS handshake as the base 200 unit — one cell covers the full range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge cycles on an iPAQ 211 and confirmed the BMS accepted full charge without flagging a fault, held voltage above 3.6V through normal PDA workloads, and cut off cleanly at the low-voltage threshold without dropping into an unrecoverable state.
- Sync before you swap: The iPAQ 200 stores active application data and open files in SRAM, which is powered directly by the main battery. Removing the cell without first syncing to a host PC will erase any unsaved data in RAM. Connect to ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center and complete a full sync before pulling the old battery.
Why the iPAQ 200 loses settings and contacts after a battery swap
Unlike smartphones with onboard flash storage for all user data, the iPAQ 200 series relies on battery-backed SRAM to retain contacts, calendar entries, and installed application state. The moment the main battery is removed and any backup cell is exhausted, that RAM loses power and clears. This is not a fault with the replacement battery — it is how the platform was architected. To avoid data loss, sync all data to a PC before swapping, then restore from that sync after the new battery is charged to at least 3.7V.
iPAQ 200 not booting after new battery installed
A freshly shipped Li-ion cell typically arrives at a storage charge of around 3.0–3.3V. The iPAQ 200 boot sequence requires a minimum voltage at the battery terminals before it will attempt to start the operating system — cells below this threshold cause the device to show nothing or display a low-battery icon immediately. Do not force multiple boot attempts on a depleted cell. Connect the device to the AC adapter and charge for at least 30 minutes before pressing the power button. The battery should read 3.6V or above before the first boot.

Frequently Asked Questions
My iPAQ 211 wiped all my contacts the moment I pulled the old battery — will this happen again with the new one?
Yes, it will happen on any battery swap if you skip the sync step. The iPAQ 200 series keeps contacts, calendar data, and app state in SRAM powered by the main battery — not in flash storage. The instant the battery is removed and any internal backup charge is gone, that RAM clears. Sync fully to ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center before swapping, then restore from that backup after the new battery reaches 3.7V.
The wireless sync on my iPAQ 210 drops out constantly since I put in a new battery — what's wrong?
The 802.11b radio in the iPAQ 210 is voltage-sensitive and will throttle or drop its connection when battery voltage sags below a stable level. A new cell shipped at storage charge may not hold enough voltage to sustain the radio under load, even if the device appears to be on. Charge the battery fully before attempting a wireless sync — the cell needs to sit at or above 3.7V under load for the radio to hold a stable connection.
My iPAQ 200 battery drains much faster when I'm using the camera or running maps — is the new cell faulty?
It is not faulty. The iPAQ 200's backlight, GPS radio, and any active wireless connection draw significantly more current than standby or basic scheduling use — this is normal load behaviour for the platform. A 2200mAh cell at 3.7V has a fixed energy budget, and high-draw applications consume it faster regardless of battery age. If drain feels excessive even in light use, run a full charge cycle: discharge to the automatic cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before drawing any load.
