Fits Paxar 6057 Pathfinder and 6039 Pathfinder portable printers; replaces OEM part 120095.
7.4V 3400mAh lithium-ion cell delivers stable voltage for thermal print head operation and paper feed motors.
Connector slides into battery slot with single locking tab; orientation marked on printer chassis.
We bench-tested this cell in a 6057 unit; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with no fault codes.
After installing, charge fully and print 5 test receipts before field deployment — thermal head requires calibration print cycles to confirm stable voltage delivery from the new BMS.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Paxar 6057 Pathfinder Series — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (120095)

This 7.4V 3400mAh Li-ion battery replaces part number 120095 in the Paxar Pathfinder portable label and barcode printer range. It fits the 6057, 6039, and 6032 Pathfinder models, along with the MN11L2-G and additional compatible units. Capacity is 25.16Wh — matching the original cell specification from product data.

  • Pathfinder 6032 / 6039 / 6057 shared platform: These three Pathfinder models run the same 7.4V power rail and use an identical battery bay connector with the same BMS handshake protocol. One cell fits the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge cycling on a Pathfinder unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell without fault codes. Current draw during thermal head activation and paper feed motor engagement stayed within spec throughout the test sequence.
  • First-deploy print sequence: After installing, charge fully and print five test labels before field deployment. The Pathfinder's paper feed motor draws a brief high-current pulse on startup — running calibration prints lets the BMS log the correct current profile for the new cell and prevents premature low-voltage cutoff during the first real job.

Why the Pathfinder 6057 stops printing after sitting unused for weeks

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If a Pathfinder unit sits idle, the cell voltage can drop below the BMS minimum threshold — typically around 6.0V for a 7.4V nominal pack — and the printer will not respond to the power button. The BMS locks the output to protect the cells from damage at that voltage level. Connecting the charger and leaving it for a full cycle before attempting to power on is the correct recovery step.

Print output fading or going patchy mid-job on a charged battery

The Pathfinder's thermal print head requires a stable voltage to maintain consistent head temperature across a print run. When the cell begins to age, voltage sag under thermal head load causes temperature variation between lines — the result is uneven darkness or faded sections mid-label. This is a load-response issue, not a head fault. If the fade disappears after a full charge cycle on a new cell, the original battery's internal resistance had risen to the point where it could not hold voltage under thermal load.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Pathfinder was fully charged last week but now it won't turn on — did the battery fail overnight?

A week of idle storage is enough for a partially degraded Li-ion cell to drop below the BMS cutoff voltage, which locks the output completely. The printer won't respond to the power button when the cell sits below approximately 6.0V. Connect the charger and leave it for a full uninterrupted charge cycle before trying to power on. If the printer still won't respond after a full charge, the cell has reached end of life and needs replacement.

The Pathfinder keeps dropping its Bluetooth connection mid-print job — could this be the battery?

Yes. The Bluetooth radio and the thermal head both pull current simultaneously during a wireless print job. When a battery's internal resistance rises with age, voltage sags under that combined load — the radio loses enough power to drop the connection before the BMS triggers a full cutoff. The printer itself may still appear on but the wireless link drops. Fit a new cell and confirm the voltage holds above 7.0V under load before ruling out other causes.

The paper feed keeps jamming on jobs that never caused problems before — what's actually happening?

The Pathfinder's feed motor relies on consistent torque, which drops as battery voltage sags under repeated motor-start pulses. At lower effective voltage, the feed roller can't maintain the pressure needed to advance heavier label stock cleanly, causing skips or jams. This fault gets worse as the battery ages and internal resistance climbs. Charge the battery fully and test with the same label stock — if the jamming clears, the battery is the cause; if it persists, check the feed roller for debris.
