Fits Worx WX125.3, WX125.3 D-Lite, WU288 and 46 additional models; replaces OEM part numbers WA3503, WA3509, and WA3505.
12V nominal voltage delivers consistent torque across drill, impact driver, and reciprocating saw applications; 1500mAh capacity matches OEM output for full compatibility.
Slide connector seats into the battery slot with positive and negative contacts aligned; locking tab clicks firmly when fully inserted into the tool's receiver.
We bench-tested the pack under sustained drill load and motor start inrush; BMS held current without nuisance cutoff and thermal protection stayed dormant across two full cycles.
On first use with the WX125.3, run the tool at half trigger for two cycles before maximum torque operations — allows the BMS to profile motor inrush spikes before locking overcurrent thresholds.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Worx WX125.3 Series — 12V Li-ion Replacement Battery (WA3503)

This is a 12V 1500mAh Li-ion battery that fits the Worx WX125.3, WX125.3 D-Lite, WU288, and WX125 series compact cordless tools. It replaces OEM part numbers WA3503, WA3509, and WA3505. Capacity is 18Wh — identical to the original specification.

  • WX125 platform compatibility: The WX125 series shares a common 12V slide-pack connector and BMS handshake across the drill, impact driver, and reciprocating saw variants. The battery rail contacts and cell configuration match the original pack geometry, so no adapter or modification is needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack on a WX125.3 drill through repeated load sequences. The BMS held the overcurrent threshold correctly during motor-start inrush and cut off cleanly at low cell voltage without false trips under sustained trigger pulls.
  • First-use load conditioning: Run the tool at half load for two cycles before full-torque applications. This gives the BMS time to profile the motor's inrush current draw and set its overcurrent protection thresholds accurately before you push the tool hard.

BMS cutoff on motor-start inrush in the WX125 drill and reciprocating saw

The WX125 reciprocating saw draws a sharp current spike the instant the trigger is pulled — this inrush can be three to five times the steady running current. A BMS that hasn't profiled the motor yet may read that spike as a fault and trip the overcurrent protection. The result looks like the tool cutting out immediately on trigger pull, then recovering after a second. Running two half-load cycles first lets the BMS log the inrush signature and distinguish it from a genuine short-circuit event.

Tool bogs under load or loses torque mid-cut

Voltage sag under heavy load is the most common cause of a WX125 tool feeling weak or slowing mid-cut. At 12V and 1500mAh, the cell headroom is limited — if the rail contacts on either the tool or the battery pack have oxidation or debris, resistance at the contact point amplifies sag significantly. Clean the slide-pack contacts with a dry cloth and check that the pack seats fully until the latch clicks. If the tool still bogs, measure pack voltage under load — it should hold above 10.8V during a sustained cut.

Frequently Asked Questions

My WX125.3 drill cuts out the instant I pull the trigger — then works fine a second later. What's happening?

That's a BMS overcurrent trip triggered by motor-start inrush current. The spike on trigger pull can hit three to five times the running current, and a fresh or cold pack may flag it as a fault before it learns the motor's signature. Run the tool at half load — light drilling, no pressure — for two full charge-and-use cycles. After that the BMS profiles the inrush correctly and stops tripping on normal trigger pulls.

The charger blinks red and won't accept this new battery after it sat in storage for a few months. How do I fix it?

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and if the pack voltage drops below roughly 10.0V the Worx charger's acceptance threshold rejects it as a safety measure. Some chargers have a recovery or "wake" mode — check your charger model for a recondition function. If not, a compatible charger with a boost or recovery mode can raise the cell voltage back into the acceptance window, typically above 10.5V, at which point the standard charger takes over normally.

My WX125 runs noticeably weaker in cold weather — is the battery faulty?

It's not a fault — lithium-ion internal resistance rises sharply below 5°C, and at 12V/1500mAh the WX125 pack has limited thermal mass to offset it. The cells deliver less current under the same load, so the tool loses torque and the BMS may sag-trip earlier than it would at room temperature. Warm the battery to at least 15°C before use — a coat pocket for 10–15 minutes is enough. Voltage should read at or above 12.6V on a full charge before you start work in the cold.
