Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Acer Iconia Tab W3-810 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AP13G3N)
This 3.7V, 6800mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original AP13G3N (also cross-referenced as KT.00203.005) in the Acer Iconia Tab W3 and W3-810 Windows tablet. It powers the display, Intel Atom processor, and wireless radios. Dimensions are 134.60 × 103.98 × 4.58mm — measure your existing cell before fitting if you are unsure of your variant.
- W3 and W3-810 compatibility: Both the base Iconia Tab W3 and the W3-810 sub-model use the same connector pinout, cell voltage, and BMS communication protocol. The AP13G3N part number covers both. ZEIV4 is an internal board designation tied to the same battery bay.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full charge and discharge on a W3-810 unit. The BMS handshake completed without error flags, charge acceptance reached the full 6800mAh range, and the Windows battery driver reported state-of-charge correctly after one calibration cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after install: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff — do not force-power-off — then charge it uninterrupted to 100%. This single cycle resets the fuel gauge IC against the new cell capacity and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that commonly appear immediately after a swap.
Iconia Tab W3 shutting down at 15–25% remaining
The W3-810 runs an Intel Atom Z2760 alongside a 1280×800 IPS display and dual-band Wi-Fi simultaneously. Under that combined load, cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC updates. The tablet's firmware interprets the voltage cliff as a critically low state and triggers a forced shutdown — even though the gauge still shows 15–25%. Fitting a new cell reduces internal resistance, which flattens that voltage curve. Run one full discharge-to-shutoff cycle after installation to let the fuel gauge relearn the new cell's discharge profile.
Windows reporting the new battery as 0% immediately after fitting
This happens when the fuel gauge IC retains calibration data from the degraded original cell and has no valid reference point for the new one. Windows reads the raw register value, sees no matching charge history, and displays 0% or "plugged in, not charging" even with the charger connected. It is not a faulty battery. Connect the OEM 12V charger, leave it undisturbed until Windows reports 100%, then discharge fully to automatic shutoff — this two-step sequence writes a new baseline to the fuel gauge IC and resolves the readout.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Acer Iconia Tab W3-810 shows a different battery percentage every time I restart it — what's wrong?
The fuel gauge IC on the W3-810 is calibrated to the original cell's charge curve. When that cell is replaced, the IC has no valid reference and interpolates erratically between reboots. This is not a fault with the new battery. Run one full uninterrupted discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge to 100% without interruption — after that cycle the gauge locks onto the new cell's actual curve and the percentage stabilises.
Fast charging stopped working on my W3-810 after the battery swap — the charger just trickle-charges now.
The W3-810's charge IC negotiates charge rate based on the battery's state-of-charge register at the start of a session. A freshly installed cell with an uninitialised fuel gauge often reports a value the charge IC treats as a near-full or fault condition, so it drops to trickle rate as a precaution. Connect the original 12V Acer adapter — not a USB adapter — and leave it connected for a full uninterrupted charge to 100%. On the next charge cycle the IC reads a valid starting state and resumes normal charge current.
The W3-810 feels warm near the top edge while charging after the battery replacement — is the new cell overheating?
Warmth at the top edge during the first few charge cycles is the charge IC working at full current into a new, low-impedance cell — it draws more power early on than a degraded cell ever did. Surface temperature in that area during a normal charge should stay below 40°C. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or the Windows battery icon shows a warning, disconnect immediately and check that the connector is fully seated; a partial connection causes the charge IC to cycle on and off rapidly, which generates excess heat.
