This is a 3.8V, 3950mAh Li-Polymer battery for the Asus Memo Pad 7, fitting the K009 and ME571K models. It replaces OEM part numbers C11P1303 and C11PNCH. If your tablet won't hold a charge, shuts down unexpectedly, or drains abnormally fast, this is the direct cell replacement.

  • K009 and ME571K compatibility: Both models run the same 3.8V power rail, use an identical flex connector, and share the same charge IC handshake — one battery fits both without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on K009 hardware. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake on the first cycle and protection thresholds triggered correctly at both high and low voltage limits.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without interruption. This gives the fuel gauge IC a full reference curve against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that commonly appear after a swap.

Tablet shutting down at 15–25% after battery replacement

The ME571K and K009 use a fuel gauge IC that stores a charge curve learned from the previous cell. When a new cell goes in, the stored curve no longer matches actual cell voltage behaviour. Under combined display and WiFi load, voltage sags faster than the IC expects, and it triggers a shutdown before the real capacity is exhausted. One full discharge-to-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the reference. After that cycle, shutdowns at 15–25% stop.

Fast charging unavailable after fitting a new cell

Some K009 units report that fast charging stops working after a battery swap. The charge controller on this tablet requires at least one completed charge cycle before it re-negotiates current limits with the new cell's internal resistance profile. Plug in using the original Asus charger and let the first cycle run fully to 100% without unplugging early. After that cycle completes, fast charge availability returns to normal.

My Memo Pad 7 is showing the wrong battery percentage after fitting the new battery — is something wrong with the replacement?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC on the K009 and ME571K is still calibrated to the old battery's discharge curve. Run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% — one full cycle gives the IC a new reference curve and the percentage display corrects itself.

The tablet cuts off suddenly at around 20% charge — it never did this with the original battery.

This is a voltage sag issue, not a faulty cell. Under combined screen and WiFi load, the new cell's voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC's stored curve predicts, so the tablet triggers a low-voltage shutdown early. Do one full discharge to automatic shutoff followed by a complete charge to 100%. After that recalibration cycle, the premature shutoffs stop.

The Asus Memo Pad 7 feels warm while charging the new battery — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth during the first few charge cycles on a new Li-Polymer cell is normal. The charge IC is learning the internal resistance profile of the new cell, which generates slightly more heat than a well-cycled battery. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or shows a charging error, disconnect and check that the connector is fully seated. Normal warmth during charging settles down after two or three full cycles.
