It restores power to the display, processor, and wireless radios when the original cell no longer holds a charge or fails to power on the device. Dimensions are 152.00 × 69.00 × 3.00mm — confirm these against your existing cell before installation.

  • ONA19TB007 and ONA19TB003 compatibility: Both tablets share the same OEM part number U2870152P, voltage rail, and connector pinout. The BMS handshake is identical across both units, so this cell communicates correctly with the charge IC on either board.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the ONA19TB007. The BMS accepted charge from the device's charge IC without fault flags, and protection circuits tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff — no thermal events observed.

Why the ONA19TB007 shuts down between 15% and 25% remaining

When the display is at full brightness and WiFi is active simultaneously, combined current draw pulls the cell voltage down faster than the fuel gauge IC expects. The tablet's protection circuit sees the voltage drop as a low-voltage event and triggers shutdown — even though the reported percentage still shows charge remaining. This is a calibration mismatch between the fuel gauge and the new cell's discharge curve. Run one full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%, and the shutdowns at 15–25% should stop. If they persist after two full cycles, check that the connector is fully seated and contact resistance at the flex cable is zero.

Fast charging unavailable after battery replacement on the ONA19TB003

Some users find the tablet reverts to slow charging after a battery swap. The charge IC needs at least one completed charge cycle with the new cell before it re-negotiates the fast-charge handshake with the adapter. Plug in the original ONN charger — not a third-party cable — and let the tablet charge from near-zero to 100% without interruption. After that cycle completes, fast charging typically resumes. If it does not, verify the adapter output is rated at the correct voltage for the device's charge IC.

My ONN tablet is reading 80% battery but just shut off without warning — is the new battery faulty?

This is almost always a fuel gauge calibration issue, not a faulty cell. The fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old battery's discharge curve, so its percentage readings are off against the new cell from the start. Run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — one full cycle resets the reference point. After that cycle, unexpected shutoffs at high reported percentages typically stop.

The tablet percentage is jumping around — showing 60%, then suddenly 45% a few minutes later — what's causing that?

The fuel gauge IC drifts when the new cell's capacity profile doesn't match the stored calibration data from the old battery. Percentage swings of 10–20% in a short period are a sign the IC is guessing rather than measuring accurately. A single full discharge-to-shutoff followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100% gives the IC a clean reference cycle. After that, readings should stabilise and track accurately within a few percent.

The tablet feels warm while charging after the battery swap — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth during the first few charge cycles on a new cell is normal. The charge IC is running a slightly higher current while it characterises the new cell's internal resistance. We observed the same behaviour on the bench — surface temperature stayed within safe limits and dropped to normal after two completed charge cycles. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or you smell anything unusual, disconnect immediately and check that the connector is fully seated with no pinched flex cable.
