Fits Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE models SM-X510, SM-X510N, and SM-X516; replaces OEM part EB-BX516ABY.
3.86V nominal output delivers 7750mAh capacity — restores full charge cycles on tablets that show critically depleted cells.
Connector orientation matches the OEM receptacle inside the tablet; no adapter needed for physical installation.
We bench-tested this cell across multiple charge cycles; the BMS accepted the new pack without fault codes or lockout.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this recalibrates the fuel gauge IC against the new cell and fixes inaccurate percentage display.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE — 3.86V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BX516ABY)

This is a 3.86V, 7750mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE. It fits SM-X510, SM-X510N, SM-X516, and related variants. Install it when the original cell no longer holds adequate charge after repeated cycle aging.

  • SM-X510 and SM-X516 series compatibility: Both Wi-Fi and LTE variants of the Tab S9 FE share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — this cell fits all of them without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Tab S9 FE unit. The BMS accepted the cell on first connection, negotiated charge current correctly, and raised no protection flags during load testing across display and Wi-Fi simultaneous draw.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After installation, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff — do not manually power it off — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This single full cycle resets the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's actual capacity curve and eliminates the percentage drift that appears immediately after a battery swap.

Tab S9 FE shutting down at 15–25% remaining after battery replacement

This happens when the fuel gauge IC still references the voltage curve of the old, degraded cell. Under combined display and Wi-Fi load, voltage drops faster than the gauge expects, and the protection circuit trips before the cell is actually empty. The OS reads 18% but the rail has already dipped below the cutoff threshold. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — this resyncs the gauge to the new cell's 3.86V nominal curve and stops premature cutoffs.

Fast charging unavailable on the Tab S9 FE after battery swap

The Tab S9 FE uses USB-PD negotiation to enable fast charge — the charge IC must complete at least one accepted full charge cycle before the device unlocks higher input current from a compatible adapter. If fast charge is absent immediately after installation, connect a USB-PD adapter rated at 25W or above and allow the tablet to charge fully without interruption. After that first complete cycle, fast charge resumes normally. Confirm the adapter output in its spec sheet — a standard 5V/2A brick will not trigger USB-PD negotiation regardless of how many cycles you run.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Tab S9 FE percentage jumps around after I installed the new battery — it was at 60% then skipped to 40% in minutes. What's wrong?

The fuel gauge IC inside the tablet was calibrated to the old cell's worn voltage curve. With a new cell installed, it misreads state-of-charge and produces erratic jumps. Run the tablet down to automatic shutoff without manually powering it off, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single full cycle resets the gauge against the new cell and the percentage stabilises.

The tablet still shuts off at around 20% even after I did a calibration cycle. Could the new battery be faulty?

If one calibration cycle didn't resolve it, the gauge may need a second full discharge-to-shutoff and uninterrupted charge cycle to fully resync — this is normal when the original cell was heavily degraded, as the IC correction takes more than one pass. Check that the shutoff is happening from automatic low-battery protection, not from a manual power-off, which does not register as a valid discharge event for gauge recalibration. Complete a second cycle from automatic shutoff to 100% charge. If the tablet still cuts out above 3.5V rail voltage under load after two cycles, the charge IC may need inspection.

The tablet gets noticeably warm while charging the new battery. Is that a problem with the cell?

Warmth during the first few charge cycles on a new cell is normal — the charge IC on the tablet side runs a conditioning pass that generates more heat than a standard topping charge. We measured surface temperatures on the bench during initial cycles and they stayed within Samsung's thermal envelope for this platform. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or shows a temperature warning on screen, disconnect the charger and let it cool to room temperature before reconnecting. Warmth that fades after the first two or three full cycles requires no action.
