Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dreame RLS5-BL1 / Bot L10 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (P2008-4S2P-MMBK)
This is a 14.4V, 5200mAh Li-ion battery pack for the Dreame RLS5-BL1 cordless stick vacuum and the Bot D9 Max, Bot L10 Pro, and Bot L10 Ultra robot vacuums. It replaces OEM part numbers P2008-4S2P-MMBK, P2026-4S1P-MMBK, P2150-4S2P-MMBK, P2150-4S2P-XWDLS, and R2228-4S2P-MMBK. The pack slots directly into the same battery bay and connects to the same BMS handshake the vacuum's motor controller expects.
- RLS5-BL1 and Bot L10 platform fit: These models share a common 14.4V 4S cell configuration and the same physical connector and BMS communication protocol — that is why one pack covers all of them. A mismatch in either would prevent the motor controller from releasing power.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full discharge cycles on the RLS5-BL1 motor platform. The BMS held overcurrent cutoff at the rated threshold, recovered correctly after trip events, and balanced cells across all four series positions without intervention.
- Dock charging habit for stick vacuum models: Do not leave the RLS5-BL1 sitting on its charging base between every use. Continuous trickle charge from the dock degrades cell capacity faster than normal cycle use. Charge the pack to full, then remove it from the dock until the next clean.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS is comfortable sustaining — usually triggered by a partially blocked filter or a tangled brush roll, not a failing battery. The BMS reads the voltage sag from the increased load and throttles output to protect the cells, which the vacuum interprets as a low-power condition. The indicator hasn't caught up because it reads state-of-charge, not instantaneous load. Clean the filter, clear the brush roll, then recheck — suction should stabilise at full power with a charged pack.
Motor cutting out mid-clean then recovering on its own
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When sustained suction restriction — clogged filter, jammed brush roll, or a blocked inlet — forces the motor to pull beyond the pack's continuous current limit, the BMS opens the discharge circuit to protect the cells. The vacuum goes silent for a few seconds while the BMS cools and resets, then restores power. The fix is to address the restriction before restarting. If the cutout repeats immediately after cleaning the filter, verify the inlet tube is fully clear and the brush roll spins freely before assuming the pack is at fault.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Dreame RLS5-BL1 loses suction halfway through a room even though the battery indicator still shows plenty of charge — why?
The indicator measures state-of-charge, not the motor's real-time load. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws more current than rated, the pack voltage sags under that load, and the motor controller reduces power to compensate — well before the indicator reads low. Clean the filter and check the brush roll for hair wrap, then run again. If suction holds at full power after that, the filter was the cause, not the battery.
The vacuum motor cuts out for a few seconds during heavy carpet cleaning, then comes back by itself — is this the new battery or the BMS tripping?
That is a BMS overcurrent trip. Sustained heavy-carpet resistance forces the motor to pull beyond the pack's continuous current limit, so the BMS opens the discharge circuit to protect the cells, then resets automatically within seconds. It is a protection function, not a defect. Clear the inlet, confirm the filter is clean, and check that the brush roll spins freely — those three restrictions account for most trip events. If the cutout stops after clearing them, the battery is fine.
This replacement battery seems to lose capacity much faster than expected after only a few months — could dock charging be causing it?
Yes. Leaving the RLS5-BL1 on the charging dock between every use exposes the cells to continuous low-level charge current, which accelerates capacity fade faster than normal discharge cycling does. The dock does not stop delivering current once the pack is full — it maintains a trickle. Charge the pack to full, remove it from the dock, and only return it when the vacuum needs charging again. Capacity loss already accumulated cannot be reversed, but this habit stops further degradation.
