Fits Kitfort KT-519 cordless stick vacuum; replaces OEM battery for models KT-519, KT-519-1, KT-519-2, KT-519-3, and later variants.
14.4V lithium-ion at 2600mAh delivers 37.44Wh; voltage drop under motor load affects suction before the indicator signals low battery.
Connector slides into the vertical battery slot with locking tab engagement; orientation is fixed by the housing recess.
We bench-tested the BMS under sustained motor draw; cell voltage held stable through repeated high-amperage cycles with no early cutoff.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously — trickle charge degrades capacity faster than removal after full charge.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Kitfort KT-519 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V, 2600mAh Li-ion battery pack for the Kitfort KT-519 cordless handheld vacuum cleaner and its variants — KT-519-1, KT-519-2, KT-519-3, and four additional sub-models. It replaces the original pack when capacity has degraded to the point where the vacuum can no longer complete a full cleaning session on a single charge.

  • KT-519 variant coverage: The KT-519-1 through KT-519-3 and related sub-models share the same 14.4V voltage rail, physical pack dimensions (69.40 × 37.00 × 37.00mm), and BMS communication protocol — which is why a single cell configuration covers all of them.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the KT-519 platform. The BMS responded correctly to the vacuum's motor-start current draw, held the voltage rail steady under sustained suction load, and tripped the overcurrent protection cleanly when airflow was deliberately blocked.
  • Dock charging on the KT-519: Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently. Cordless vacuums kept on continuous dock charge develop capacity fade significantly faster than those charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than rated — typically caused by a partially blocked filter or obstructed airflow path. The battery voltage sags under that elevated load, and the vacuum's motor controller reduces power before the BMS would ever flag low charge. The battery gauge reads mid-range, but actual delivered voltage has already dipped below the motor's threshold. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest suction strength.

Motor cuts out mid-use and then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When sustained restricted suction forces the motor to pull current above the pack's protection threshold, the BMS disconnects the output to protect the cells. After a brief rest, the BMS resets and the vacuum runs again. The cycle will repeat until the restriction is cleared. Check the filter, inlet, and brush roll for blockages — if all are clear, confirm the resting open-circuit voltage is at or above 16.4V after a full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Kitfort KT-519 has noticeably weaker suction but the battery indicator still shows plenty of charge — is the battery dying?

Not necessarily. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which causes the battery voltage to sag under load even when the charge state looks healthy. The gauge measures stored charge, not the voltage the motor is actually receiving under strain. Clean the filter thoroughly, clear the inlet and brush roll, then retest — if suction recovers, the battery was fine and the restriction was the cause.

My KT-519 shuts off suddenly during use, then starts working again after I leave it for a minute — what's happening?

That's the BMS tripping on an overcurrent event, not a random fault. When airflow is restricted and the motor labours, current draw spikes above the pack's protection threshold and the BMS cuts output to protect the cells. Once it cools and resets — usually within a minute — the vacuum runs again until the next trip. Clear any blockage in the filter, inlet, or brush roll; if the problem persists on a clean vacuum, check that the replacement pack's resting voltage reads at least 16.4V after a full charge.

The KT-519's battery doesn't seem to last as long as it used to, and I always keep it on the dock between uses — could the dock be the problem?

Yes. Leaving a lithium-ion pack on a trickle charge dock continuously accelerates capacity fade — the cells degrade faster under constant low-level charge than they do from regular full cycles. This is one of the most common causes of shortened runtime on cordless vacuums. Charge the battery to full, remove the vacuum from the dock, and only return it to charge when the battery is genuinely depleted.
