Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

PapaGo M504 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (INR18650-B4-2600)
This is a 14.4V Li-ion replacement battery pack rated at 2600mAh (37.44Wh) for the PapaGo M504 cordless vacuum cleaner. It fits directly into the M504 and restores full vacuum operation when the original cell has degraded. Dimensions are 69.50 x 37.50 x 37.50mm — confirm physical fitment before installing.
- M504 platform fitment: The M504 runs a 14.4V motor rail with a BMS that monitors cell voltage and current draw. This replacement uses the same INR18650 cell format and voltage threshold, so the BMS recognises the pack without recalibration or adapter.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the M504 platform. The BMS held correct cutoff at the low-voltage threshold and did not trip on motor start draw under normal filter conditions.
- Dock charging habit on the M504: Do not leave the M504 on the charging dock continuously. Cordless vacuums kept on permanent trickle charge develop capacity fade faster than those charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the M504
The M504 motor draws higher current when the filter is partially blocked, because it works harder to pull air through the restriction. Under that elevated draw, the BMS sees cell voltage sag below its threshold and throttles output — even when the indicator still shows charge remaining. The battery is not faulty in this case; the filter is the cause. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest suction at full charge. If suction remains weak after filter cleaning with a fresh cell, check for blockage in the dust path between the nozzle and the bin.
Motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When sustained suction restriction forces the motor to draw beyond the pack's rated current ceiling, the BMS disconnects output to protect the cells, then resets after the thermal or timing window clears. The motor comes back because the BMS resets — but the root cause is still the restriction. Check the filter and the inlet for blockage before assuming the battery is at fault. If the cutout happens on a clear filter with a known-good battery, verify cell voltage under load — it should hold above 12.0V during normal operation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my PapaGo M504 lose suction halfway through cleaning even though the battery still shows charge?
A partially blocked filter forces the motor to pull harder than its rated draw, which causes the battery's BMS to sag output voltage before the indicator reflects a low charge state. Clean the filter and clear any debris from the inlet path, then retest. If suction recovers immediately after cleaning the filter, the battery is not the problem. If suction is still weak with a clean filter and a new battery, check for a blockage between the nozzle and the dust bin.
The M504 motor keeps cutting out and restarting on its own — is the replacement battery faulty?
Almost always, no. The BMS trips on overcurrent when the motor sustains a draw above the pack's rated ceiling — typically caused by a blocked filter or restricted airflow, not a bad cell. After the trip, the BMS resets automatically, which is why the motor restarts. Clear the filter first, then run the vacuum again. If cutouts continue on a clean filter, measure cell voltage under load — the pack should hold above 12.0V during normal vacuuming.
My replacement INR18650-B4-2600 battery is not taking a charge on the M504 dock — what's wrong?
Some charger docks expect a minimum cell voltage before initiating the charge cycle. If the replacement pack arrived deeply discharged, the charger may not recognise it. Remove the battery, wait two minutes, reseat it firmly in the dock, and check for the charge indicator light within 60 seconds. If the light still does not appear, verify the dock contacts are clean and making full contact with the battery terminals — oxidised or bent contacts are a common cause of no-charge faults on replacement packs.
