• M504 platform fitment: The M504 runs a 14.4V motor rail with a BMS that monitors cell voltage and current draw. This replacement uses the same INR18650 cell format and voltage threshold, so the BMS recognises the pack without recalibration or adapter.

Motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When sustained suction restriction forces the motor to draw beyond the pack's rated current ceiling, the BMS disconnects output to protect the cells, then resets after the thermal or timing window clears. The motor comes back because the BMS resets — but the root cause is still the restriction. Check the filter and the inlet for blockage before assuming the battery is at fault. If the cutout happens on a clear filter with a known-good battery, verify cell voltage under load — it should hold above 12.0V during normal operation.
