Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Proscenic 850T / 850P — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CMICR18650F8M7-4S1P)
This is a 14.4V Li-ion replacement battery rated at 2600mAh (37.44Wh) for the Proscenic 850T and 850P cordless stick vacuums. It slots into the same battery compartment as the original and connects to the same BMS handshake circuit. When the factory cell degrades and suction weakens before the indicator hits low, this cell restores full motor voltage.
- 850T and 850P shared platform: Both models run the same 14.4V motor rail and use an identical battery bay with the same connector and BMS communication protocol — one cell covers both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge cycles on the 850T and monitored BMS cutoff thresholds. The protection circuit held within spec under sustained high-suction load and triggered correctly on overcurrent without nuisance tripping.
- Dock charging habit on the 850T: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock between uses. Continuous trickle charge accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells significantly faster than charging only when the battery is depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the 850T
This happens when internal cell resistance rises in an ageing battery — voltage sags under motor load even though the resting charge reads normal. The BMS reports adequate charge at rest, but as soon as the motor draws current, terminal voltage drops and the 850T reduces power to the brush motor. A new cell with lower internal resistance maintains voltage under load and restores full suction output from a full charge down to the genuine low-battery threshold.
Motor cutting out mid-clean then recovering after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. On the 850T, a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw above its rated current to maintain airflow — the BMS reads this as a fault and cuts the output circuit. The vacuum recovers once current drops back below the trip threshold. Clear the filter first; if the cutout persists with a clean filter on a healthy charge, the cell's internal resistance is too high to sustain the current demand — replace the battery and confirm resting voltage reads 16.4V after a full charge cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Proscenic 850T suction gets weak halfway through cleaning but the battery light still shows full — what's happening?
The battery indicator on the 850T reads resting voltage, not voltage under load. An ageing cell with high internal resistance will show full at rest but sag under motor draw, cutting power to the brush motor before the indicator reacts. This is a cell condition issue, not a filter or motor fault. Fit a replacement cell and check that resting voltage reads 16.4V after a full charge — if it does, the indicator will now match actual suction performance.
The 850T motor keeps cutting out for a few seconds then comes back on its own — is the battery faulty?
Not necessarily the cell itself — this is the BMS tripping on overcurrent, which the 850T triggers when the motor strains against restricted airflow. Pull the filter out and clean it thoroughly before assuming the battery is the cause. If the cutout stops after cleaning the filter, the cell is fine. If it continues with a clean filter and the battery is more than 18 months old, internal resistance has risen enough that the cell can no longer deliver the current the motor needs at 14.4V without tripping the overcurrent threshold.
My 850T runtime has dropped noticeably over the past few months even though I keep it on the charging dock — could that be why?
Yes — continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade in Li-ion stick vacuums. Leaving the 850T on the dock keeps the cell at 100% state of charge under a low trickle current, which degrades the anode over time faster than regular charge-and-discharge cycling does. The fix going forward is to charge only when depleted, then remove from the dock. With a new cell, follow that habit from day one to preserve the 2600mAh rated capacity.
