Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sencor SVC 8618GD — 18V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is an 18V 3000mAh (54Wh) lithium-ion battery pack for the Sencor SVC 8618GD cordless stick vacuum. It replaces the original pack when the cell group degrades and the vacuum can no longer hold a usable charge. Dimensions are 117 x 103 x 76mm — verify against your existing pack before ordering.
- SVC 8618GD compatibility: The SVC 8618GD runs its brushless motor directly off the 18V cell pack. The BMS in this replacement matches the voltage rail and discharge curve the motor controller expects, so the vacuum powers on and runs at full suction from the first charge cycle.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the SVC 8618GD platform. The BMS handled sustained motor draw without nuisance tripping, and cell balance across the pack stayed within spec through repeated cycles.
- Dock charging habit on this vacuum: Do not leave the SVC 8618GD sitting on its charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle current accelerates capacity fade on Li-ion packs faster than normal use. Charge to full, remove from the dock, and reconnect only when the pack is depleted.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the SVC 8618GD
This happens when the motor draws harder than normal — usually because the filter is partially blocked. Under restricted airflow, current demand spikes and the BMS pulls back discharge current to protect the cells, which the motor reads as a low-voltage condition. The vacuum loses suction even though the pack still has capacity remaining. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest — if suction holds across a full cycle, the pack is fine and the filter was the cause.
Motor cuts out mid-session then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked nozzle, dirty filter, or heavy carpet load — the motor draws a sustained current spike above the BMS threshold. The protection circuit opens, the motor stops, and after 30–60 seconds the BMS resets and the vacuum runs again. Fix the restriction first. If cutouts continue on a clear filter at a normal surface, check that pack voltage under load reads above 15V — below that, the cells are fatigued and the pack needs replacing.

Frequently Asked Questions
My SVC 8618GD loses suction halfway through cleaning but the battery light still shows full — what's happening?
The battery indicator on the SVC 8618GD reads cell voltage at rest, not under load. A worn or partially degraded pack can show full voltage when idle but sag significantly once the motor draws current, starving it of the power it needs to maintain suction. Check the filter first — a blocked filter increases motor current draw and triggers the same symptom even on a healthy pack. If the filter is clean and suction still drops early, the cell group has fatigued and the pack needs replacing.
The vacuum ran fine for a year and now the runtime has dropped noticeably — I haven't changed anything. What causes that?
Leaving the SVC 8618GD on the charging dock continuously is the most common cause of accelerated capacity fade on this class of vacuum. The charger maintains a low trickle current when the pack is full, and sustained trickle charging degrades Li-ion cells faster than regular charge-and-use cycles. There is no reset for cells that have already lost capacity — once the fade is significant, the pack needs to be replaced. With the new pack, charge to full, disconnect from the dock, and reconnect only when the battery is depleted.
The replacement battery isn't charging — the dock light doesn't come on at all when I seat the new pack. What should I check?
Some Sencor chargers handshake with the BMS in the pack before enabling charge current. If the dock shows no activity with the new pack seated, first reseat the pack firmly — poor contact at the terminals is the most common cause. If the dock still shows no response, connect the original pack to confirm the charger itself is working. If the charger responds to the old pack but not the new one, check that the replacement pack voltage reads at least 10V with a multimeter — a pack shipped in deep discharge may need a brief 5V trickle input to wake the BMS before the charger will engage.
