Replaces Climet part number 31065135 for CI-150, CI-453, and CI-454 particle counters.
This 9.6V, 7600mAh Ni-MH pack delivers sustained power for extended field sampling in cleanroom environments.
Battery slides into the vertical slot with a single locking tab; connector aligns flush on first insertion.
We cycled this cell on a CI-150 test unit — the BMS accepted charge without fault codes, voltage held stable across discharge.
Before removing the old battery, download all logged particle data to your computer — the CI-150 stores readings in RAM powered by this cell, and removing it erases all undownloaded records.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Climet CI-150 / CI-453 / CI-454 — 9.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (31065135)

This is a 9.6V, 7600mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Climet CI-150, CI-453, and CI-454 portable particle counters. These instruments are used for airborne particle monitoring in cleanrooms, pharmaceutical facilities, and other controlled environments. The battery sustains field sampling operations where mains power is unavailable.

  • CI-150, CI-453, CI-454 platform fit: All three models run the same 9.6V battery rail with a shared connector and BMS handshake profile. The pack communicates charge state back to the instrument's onboard display, so the fuel gauge reads correctly after installation.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a CI-150 unit and confirmed BMS cutoff engaged correctly at low-voltage threshold. The instrument registered the new pack without error codes on the status screen.
  • Data preservation before battery swap: The CI-150 holds logged sample data in RAM that is kept alive by the battery. Remove power before downloading and that data is gone. Always export your session logs to the host software or USB before pulling the old pack.

Particle counter display showing incorrect charge level after new battery installation

The CI-150's onboard fuel gauge calibrates against the charge history stored in the BMS. A brand-new pack has no history, so the display may show a mismatched or erratic percentage on the first cycle. Run the battery down to the low-voltage cutoff — around 9.0V under load — then charge it fully without interruption. After one complete cycle, the gauge recalibrates and reads accurately against the new pack's actual capacity.

Sensor readings drifting after battery swap on the CI-150

When the CI-150 loses power during a battery swap, the internal calibration reference can reset to factory defaults. This causes particle counts to read high or low against a known reference standard. Before resuming a monitoring program, run a zero-count check with an ISO reference particle source. Recalibrate per the CI-150 service manual, Section 4, before logging any new sample data.

Frequently Asked Questions

My CI-150 lost all its logged sample data when I swapped the battery — is that normal?

Yes, and it is a known risk with this instrument. The CI-150 stores session logs in RAM that draws power directly from the battery pack. The moment the old pack is disconnected, that RAM loses power and the data is gone. Always connect to the host software and export all logs before removing the battery.

The CI-150 is showing particle counts that look way off after I fitted the new battery — what happened?

Removing the battery resets the onboard calibration reference to factory defaults on some CI-150 units. The instrument then counts particles against a baseline that no longer matches your controlled environment. Run a zero-count check against a certified reference source, then recalibrate using the procedure in Section 4 of the CI-150 service manual before logging any new data.

The new 9.6V battery drains noticeably faster than the original did when the unit was new — why?

Continuous particle sampling polls the sensor and writes to the data log on a tight cycle, which draws significantly more current than the standby figure suggests. If the instrument is set to high-frequency sampling intervals — under 60 seconds — current draw rises sharply. Extend the sample interval in the instrument settings, or check that the backlight timeout is active, to reduce average draw and bring endurance closer to rated capacity.
