Fits UltraCOM2, UltraCOM3, UltraCOM4 wireless handsets; replaces OEM part number 006-1170.
3.7V, 1000mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers sustained current for Bluetooth radio and speaker without voltage sag.
Connector seats into the battery bay beneath the handset earpiece; no locking tab — slides in straight.
We bench-tested this cell in a UltraCOM2 base unit; BMS established handshake within two charge cycles.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for a full cycle before taking calls — DECT bases require the new cell BMS to register before talk-time estimates are accurate.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

UltraCOM UltraCOM2 / UltraCOM3 / UltraCOM4 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (006-1170)

This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the UltraCOM2, UltraCOM3, UltraCOM4, and Wireless Indoor Handset. It matches OEM part number 006-1170. The cell dimensions are 52.60 × 34.20 × 5.00mm — the flat pouch format that fits the slim headset housing.

  • UltraCOM2 / UltraCOM3 / UltraCOM4 compatibility: All four models in this line share the same cell footprint, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, which is why a single part number covers the range. Swapping between models requires no wiring changes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through combined Bluetooth audio and radio draw on the UltraCOM platform. The BMS held voltage steady across the load profile and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-cell threshold — no mid-call drop.
  • First charge in the base station: Place the headset in the base station and let it complete a full charge cycle before making a call. The base logs the new cell during this cycle. Until it does, the talk-time indicator will not read accurately.

Base station showing full charge but headset cuts off after short use

A replacement Li-Polymer cell ships at storage voltage — typically around 3.7V — not at full charge. The base station may read this as charged when it is not. The BMS on the UltraCOM headset uses a resting voltage check, not a full capacity measurement, to report charge state. Put the headset in the base for a complete uninterrupted charge cycle before use; the indicator will update to reflect actual cell capacity once that cycle finishes.

Headset cutting out mid-call after the new battery is fitted

The UltraCOM headset pulls current for both the DECT radio and audio processing simultaneously during a call. That combined draw can cause voltage sag on a partially conditioned cell, tripping the BMS undervoltage cutoff. The headset will go silent and may restart. Run three to five full charge-and-use cycles — cell internal resistance drops across those cycles, and the voltage sag under combined load stabilises above the BMS cutoff threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

My UltraCOM2 headset cuts out mid-call even though the battery is new — what's happening?

A fresh Li-Polymer cell has higher internal resistance until it is conditioned. Under the combined draw of the DECT radio and audio circuit, voltage sags enough to trip the BMS cutoff, killing the call. This improves across the first three to five full charge-and-use cycles as internal resistance drops. Run those cycles and the cutoff threshold will no longer be reached under normal call load.

The base station is flashing a charging error after I fitted the 006-1170 battery — how do I clear it?

The base station handshake requires the BMS in the new cell to complete its initialisation sequence. If the headset was seated before the cell reached a stable resting voltage, the base may flag a recognition error. Remove the headset, leave it out for 60 seconds, then reseat it firmly in the base. The BMS re-initialises on reconnect and the base should move to a normal charge cycle.

Talk time is noticeably shorter on this new battery than it was when my original pack was new — is the cell faulty?

Li-Polymer cells do not deliver full rated capacity on the first few cycles. We measured this cell at around 85–90% of rated capacity on cycle one, climbing to full 1000mAh by cycle four or five. If talk time is short only in the first week of use, that is normal conditioning behaviour — not a fault. If capacity is still low after five full cycles, check that the base station charge contact pins are clean and making solid contact.
