Fits Acer Tempo DX650 with OEM part numbers 848WS00575, BT.00101.001, and BT.00107.001.
3.7V, 1260mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 4.66Wh — standard capacity for this phone's voice and data draw.
Connector seats flat against the battery contact plate; locking tab slides down to secure the pack.
We bench-tested against the Acer fuel gauge IC; BMS accepted charge protocol on first cycle without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Acer Tempo DX650 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (848WS00575)

This is a 3.7V, 1260mAh Li-ion battery for the Acer Tempo DX650 smartphone. It replaces OEM part numbers 848WS00575, BT.00101.001, and BT.00107.001. Swap it in when the original cell can no longer hold a charge through a normal day of calls, messaging, and app use.

  • Tempo DX650 fitment: The DX650 uses a fixed connector pinout that carries both charge current and fuel gauge data. This replacement matches that pinout, so the phone's charge IC and fuel gauge IC can communicate with the cell from the first boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the DX650 platform and confirmed the BMS handshake completed cleanly. The charge IC accepted the cell without throwing a fault, and capacity read correctly after one full conditioning cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, disable fast charging if your firmware supports it and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before normal use. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to your old cell's discharge curve — one complete cycle resets the coulomb counter against the new cell's actual characteristics.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Tempo DX650

This is a voltage cliff problem, not a capacity problem. When the modem transmits or the screen brightness spikes, instantaneous current draw pulls the cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold — even if the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. A degraded or uncalibrated cell has higher internal resistance, so the voltage drop under load is steeper and faster. After installing a replacement cell, run one full discharge cycle so the fuel gauge IC maps the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity curve and stops tripping the cutoff prematurely.

Device not powering on after the battery sat in storage

If a replacement cell ships in a low-charge state and sits unused for several weeks, the cell voltage can drop below 2.5V — the point where the BMS locks out to prevent damage. The phone will not respond to the power button and may show nothing on screen even when plugged in. Connect the phone to a wall charger, not a USB port, and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. Most BMS circuits on this platform will accept a trickle current from the charge IC at this point and unlock once the cell climbs back above 2.8V.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my Acer Tempo DX650 show the wrong battery percentage after I put in a new battery?

The fuel gauge IC stored the discharge curve of your old, degraded cell — it has no data on the new one yet. Until the coulomb counter recalibrates, the percentage reading will drift or jump because the IC is making poor predictions. Run one complete discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the phone. After that single cycle, the fuel gauge IC recalculates against the new cell and the percentage reading stabilises.

My Tempo DX650 gets noticeably warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is that normal?

A new cell typically has higher impedance than a well-cycled one, which means the charge IC pushes a slightly higher voltage to move the same current in. That extra voltage difference dissipates as heat in both the cell and the charge IC on the board. It settles down after a few charge cycles as the cell's internal resistance drops. If the phone stays warm throughout a full charge rather than cooling once it hits 80%, check that nothing is blocking airflow around the back cover and keep it off a soft surface while charging.

Fast charging stopped working on my DX650 after I replaced the battery — how do I get it back?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the phone's charge IC may not negotiate the fast-charge protocol because the BMS in the new cell hasn't completed its initialisation handshake. Standard 5V charging will still work during this window. Complete one full charge at standard rate, let the phone sit at 100% for five minutes, then unplug and reboot before reconnecting the fast charger. After the BMS handshake completes and the fuel gauge IC has a baseline reading, the fast-charge negotiation resumes normally.
