Fits T-Mobile Touch Pro 2 and Touch Pro II smartphones, replaces OEM part numbers BA S390, RHOD160, 35H00123-00M, and 35H00123-02M.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 2800mAh delivers the same charge capacity as the original battery for normal daily phone operation.
Connector slides into the standard battery slot with the positive terminal facing upward; locking tab secures the pack flush against the device frame.
We ran full discharge cycles on the bench; the BMS accepted standard charging current without throttling and held voltage stable under modem and display load.
On first startup after installation, discharge the phone completely without interruption, then charge to full — the fuel gauge IC needs one complete cycle to recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve and stop reporting false percentage warnings.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

T-Mobile Touch Pro 2 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BA S390)

This is a 3.7V, 2800mAh Li-ion battery for the T-Mobile Touch Pro 2 and Touch Pro II smartphones. It replaces OEM part numbers BA S390, RHOD160, 35H00123-00M, and 35H00123-02M. If your original cell has swollen, lost capacity, or the phone shuts down unexpectedly, this is the direct cell swap.

  • Touch Pro 2 and Touch Pro II fitment: Both the Touch Pro 2 and Touch Pro II use the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake — one cell covers both variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Touch Pro 2 platform. The BMS accepted charge from the device's onboard charge IC without voltage rejection or fault flags on either variant.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. The Touch Pro 2's fuel gauge IC maps its coulomb counter to the new cell's discharge curve during this first cycle — skipping it causes erratic percentage readings.

Why the Touch Pro 2 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Touch Pro 2 uses a fuel gauge IC that stores a learned discharge curve from the old cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the replacement. The IC maps voltage readings against the old profile, so 60% on screen may be 40% actual charge. One full discharge-to-shutdown cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the IC to recalibrate against the new cell's real curve. After that single cycle, percentage reporting stabilises.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under load — a voltage cliff — before the fuel gauge reads zero. The Touch Pro 2's WCDMA modem and keyboard backlight pull simultaneous current spikes that expose this cliff faster than screen-on idle. The phone's hardware undervoltage cutoff triggers at approximately 3.2V per cell, which can occur while the gauge still shows charge remaining. After two full discharge-charge cycles, the fuel gauge IC tightens its voltage model and premature shutdowns typically stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Touch Pro 2 shows 25% battery then shuts off instantly — is the new cell faulty?

Not faulty — this is a voltage cliff under load. The WCDMA modem and screen together pull enough current to drop cell voltage below the 3.2V hardware cutoff before the fuel gauge reads zero. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's curve. Run two full discharge-to-shutdown cycles followed by complete uninterrupted charges to 100%, and the shutdowns will stop as the IC maps the new cell accurately.

The phone won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — what happened?

Extended storage drained the cell below the BMS lockout threshold, typically under 2.5V. At that voltage, the BMS cuts output entirely to protect the cell from permanent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold, after which the phone will boot normally. USB-only charging from a PC may not supply enough current for recovery; use a wall adapter rated at least 1A.

The Touch Pro 2 feels warm near the battery compartment while charging — is that normal with this cell?

Some warmth is normal on the first few charge cycles. A new high-impedance cell has slightly higher internal resistance than a broken-in cell, so the onboard charge IC dissipates more heat during the constant-current phase. If the back of the phone becomes uncomfortable to hold or charging stops before 100%, that indicates the thermal protection threshold has tripped. Let the phone cool to room temperature, then resume charging — the warmth drops noticeably after the cell completes two full cycles.
