Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

AEG 900273716 / AG3013 Series — 18V Li-ion Replacement Battery (VBHC7787E)
This is an 18V 1500mAh Li-ion battery pack for AEG cordless stick and handheld vacuums. It fits the 900273716, 900273717, AG3013, AG18 Plus, and over 180 additional AEG vacuum models. The OEM part numbers include VBHC7787E and 8087979053, among others listed above.
- Broad AEG vacuum compatibility: These models share the same 18V battery rail, connector format, and BMS handshake protocol. A single cell design covers the full range without modification or adapter.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the charge and discharge sequence on an AG3013 unit. The BMS responded correctly to both full charge cutoff and low-voltage protection, with no unexpected trip events during normal vacuum load.
- Dock charging behaviour on AEG stick vacuums: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. AEG stick vacuums on continuous dock charge develop capacity fade significantly faster than units charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.
Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low
This is a voltage sag issue, not always a dead battery. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws more current than rated to maintain airflow. That elevated draw causes cell voltage to sag early, which the BMS reads as a low-battery condition and throttles output. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers, the battery was fine all along.
Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failing motor. Restricted airflow — typically a clogged filter or blocked nozzle — forces the motor to spike current above the BMS threshold. The BMS shuts the circuit, then resets after a cool-down period. Clear the blockage completely, then check that the filter is clean and seated correctly before the next use.

Frequently Asked Questions
My AEG vacuum shows a full charge but suction drops off quickly — is the new battery faulty?
Most likely the filter is restricting airflow, not the battery. A blocked filter forces the motor to draw well above its rated current, which causes cell voltage to sag faster than normal and the indicator to read low prematurely. Remove and clean the filter thoroughly, then run a full charge cycle to 18V before testing again. If suction holds after that, the battery is working correctly.
The motor on my AEG stick vacuum cuts out for a few seconds, then comes back on its own — what's causing that?
That cut-and-recover pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip. When airflow is restricted — blocked nozzle, full dust container, or a dirty filter — the motor spikes current beyond the BMS protection threshold and the circuit opens. The BMS resets automatically once current drops, which is why it comes back. Clear every blockage, empty the container, and clean the filter before the next run.
I left my AEG vacuum on the dock for several weeks and now the battery drains much faster than it used to — is the replacement cell already degraded?
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade in AEG cordless vacuums. The charger delivers a low trickle current indefinitely, and Li-ion cells held at 100% charge under constant voltage lose capacity faster than cells that are charged and then disconnected. Charge the replacement pack fully, remove it from the dock, and only return it when the charge is depleted. That single change will significantly slow capacity loss over time.
