Fits Philips FC6822, FC6822/01, FC6823, FC6823/01 and 25+ related models replacing OEM part 1BD0346A.
25.2V lithium-ion pack delivers 2400mAh capacity for sustained suction on carpet and hard floors.
Connector slides onto the dock contact rail with a locking tab that seats flush against the motor housing.
We bench-tested this cell on an FC6822 motor load — BMS held steady through full discharge with no early cutoff.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock permanently; continuous dock charge degrades capacity faster than removing the pack when full.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Philips FC6822/FC6823 Series — 25.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (1BD0346A)

This is a 25.2V, 2400mAh Li-ion battery for the Philips FC6822 and FC6823 cordless stick vacuum range. It replaces OEM part 1BD0346A and fits over 25 variants across these two model lines. Voltage and capacity match the original cell spec exactly.

  • FC6822 and FC6823 compatibility: These models share the same 25.2V battery platform, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. A single cell replacement covers all variants in both lines without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through charge and discharge cycles on the FC6822 platform. The BMS handshook correctly with the Philips charger, accepted a full charge cycle, and triggered overcurrent protection cleanly under simulated motor load.
  • Dock charging on this vacuum: Do not leave the vacuum permanently on the charging dock. Continuous dock connection applies a trickle charge that accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next use.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The FC6822 motor draws significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked — sometimes two to three times the normal draw. That elevated current causes voltage to sag at the cell level, which the BMS reads as a low-state condition before the indicator agrees. The result is reduced motor speed and weaker suction while the LED still shows charge remaining. Clean or replace the filter first. If suction recovers, the battery is not the cause.

Motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When sustained suction restriction forces the motor to pull above the cell's rated discharge limit, the BMS opens the circuit to protect the cells. After a short rest, the BMS resets and the vacuum powers back on. The fix is almost always a blocked filter or a partially obstructed intake — clearing the restriction brings current draw back within limits. If the motor cuts out even with a clean filter and clear airpath, check that the replacement cell's BMS is communicating correctly with the vacuum's controller by confirming the charger accepts and completes a full charge cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

My FC6822 seems to lose suction well before the battery light goes red — is the new battery faulty?

Not necessarily. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw far more current than rated, which causes cell voltage to sag early and makes the vacuum behave as though charge is low. Clean or replace the filter and retest. If suction holds longer after that, the battery is fine — the motor was simply working too hard.

The vacuum runs for a bit, cuts out, then works again after I wait a minute — what's happening?

That's the BMS tripping on overcurrent. When the motor pulls more than the cell's rated discharge limit — usually from a blocked filter or restricted intake — the BMS opens the circuit to protect the cells, then resets after a short pause. Clear any blockage in the filter and intake path. If the cut-outs stop, the battery is operating correctly.

My FC6822 battery faded fast after I got it — I keep it on the dock all the time. Is the cell defective?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade in these vacuums. The charger maintains a trickle current once the battery is full, and sustained trickle charge degrades Li-ion cells faster than normal cycling. Charge the battery to full, remove it from the dock, and only return it when it needs a charge. Capacity should stabilise from that point forward.
