Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

AEG Electrolux Osiris — 7.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (S91-0400410-SU2)

This 7.2V, 3400mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Electrolux Osiris cordless stick vacuum. It fits the Osiris range including model numbers 900258195, RX7-1-TM, and 900277268, among others. Voltage and capacity match the OEM spec exactly — no modifications needed.

  • Osiris platform compatibility: The Osiris series runs a shared 7.2V battery rail across its variants. All listed models use the same connector layout and BMS handshake, so the pack communicates correctly with the vacuum's motor controller without triggering a fault state.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and load cycles on an Osiris unit. The BMS held cutoff thresholds within spec under sustained motor draw and recovered cleanly after a full discharge cycle with no fault flags thrown.
  • Dock charging habit on the Osiris: Do not leave the Osiris sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charge from the dock accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells faster than normal cycling. Charge to full, then remove it from the dock between uses.

Osiris suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The Osiris motor draws significantly more current when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter is the most common cause. Under that extra load, the battery's BMS detects a voltage sag and begins throttling power to the motor before the indicator registers low. The vacuum feels like a weak battery when the actual problem is filter restriction driving up current draw. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest — motor draw should return to under 3A at full suction.

Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failed battery. When sustained suction restriction forces the motor to pull more current than the BMS threshold allows, the pack shuts off to protect the cells and resets after a brief cooldown. It will keep happening until the restriction is cleared. Check the filter and the brush-roll channel for blockages — once airflow is restored, the BMS should stop tripping under normal carpet load.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my Osiris lose suction strength well before the battery light comes on?

A restricted filter forces the motor to draw higher current than rated, which causes the battery's BMS to sag voltage to the motor early — the indicator doesn't catch it because the cell voltage looks fine under light load. The vacuum reads as low power when it's actually a blockage problem. Clean the filter thoroughly and check the brush-roll channel for debris. After clearing the restriction, retest at full power — motor draw should stabilise and suction should hold consistently through a full charge cycle.

My Osiris has been sitting on the dock every day and the battery now runs flat much faster than it used to — why?

Continuous dock charging applies a low-level trickle charge to a Li-ion pack that's already full, and sustained trickle charge degrades cell capacity faster than normal charge-discharge cycling. This is one of the most common causes of early capacity fade in cordless vacuums. A replacement pack will restore capacity, but the same fade will return if left on the dock permanently. Charge to full, remove from the dock, and only re-dock when the battery is depleted.

The Osiris won't charge at all with the new replacement battery installed — what's wrong?

Some Osiris chargers verify a BMS handshake before allowing charge current to flow — if the charger sees an unexpected response from a new pack's BMS, it will refuse to initiate charging. First, confirm the battery is seated fully and the contacts are clean and making solid contact. Then try connecting the charger and waiting two full minutes without touching the unit — some BMS chips need a brief initialisation period on first connection. If the charger LED still shows no charge activity, verify the charger output is at 8.4V DC, which is the correct termination voltage for a 7.2V Li-ion pack.
