Fits AEi VX-8x08, AGR-8106, MIP-300, and AGR-8206 cordless phones; replaces OEM part numbers 8206 and 8106.
3.7V, 1100mAh lithium-ion cell restores full handset runtime on a single base charge cycle.
Connector slides straight into handset battery slot with positive contact forward; locking tab secures horizontally.
We bench-tested this cell in VX-8x08 base cradle; BMS accepted charge within two cycles, no fault codes.
After installation, seat the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before daily use — Li-ion BMS in this phone needs one slow charge cycle to calibrate capacity reporting.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

AEi VX-8x08 / AGR-8206 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (8206)

This is a 3.7V 1100mAh Li-ion battery for the AEi VX-8x08, AGR-8106, AGR-8206, and MIP-300 cordless handsets. It replaces OEM part numbers 8206 and 8106. The cell dimensions are 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.50mm — confirm those against your existing battery before ordering.

  • VX-8x08 and AGR series compatibility: These handsets share the same battery bay geometry, connector polarity, and 3.7V Li-ion cell specification across the VX-8x08, AGR-8106, AGR-8206, and MIP-300 platforms. One battery SKU covers all of them because the BMS handshake requirements and charge termination voltage are identical.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on a cordless phone test rig and confirmed the BMS holds charge termination at 4.2V without triggering the base station's fault indicator. The protection circuit activates correctly at low-voltage cutoff before the handset powers off.
  • First charge after installation: Place the handset in the base cradle immediately after installing this battery and leave it for a full uninterrupted charge cycle. Li-ion cells shipped in a partially discharged state — letting the base complete one full charge before first use brings the cell to its rated 1100mAh baseline.

Talk time shorter than expected after swapping the battery

A new Li-ion cell often delivers noticeably less talk time for the first two or three charge cycles. This happens because the cell ships at a storage charge level — typically around 40–50% — and the electrodes haven't yet settled into full charge-acceptance. After three complete charge and discharge cycles on the base, capacity stabilises at the rated 1100mAh. If talk time is still short after five cycles, check the handset's standby current draw — some AEi models have a backlight or alert setting that keeps the radio active longer than normal.

Base station shows no charge light or error after installing the new battery

When a Li-ion cell arrives below approximately 3.0V from extended storage, some base stations refuse to begin charging — the charge controller sees the voltage as a fault condition rather than a depleted cell. Remove the handset, wait 30 seconds, and reseat it firmly so the contacts align. If the charge light still doesn't appear, check the base contacts for oxidation and clean them with a dry cloth. The base should begin trickle charging once the cell is above 3.0V — a short boost from a compatible Li-ion charger at 0.1A for 10 minutes is enough to cross that threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

My AEi handset has much less talk time after swapping the battery — is something wrong with the new cell?

Nothing is wrong. A fresh Li-ion cell ships at partial charge, and the electrodes take two to three full cycles to reach rated capacity. Run three complete charge-and-discharge cycles on the base before judging talk time. If output is still noticeably low after five cycles, check that the handset's screen timeout and ringer settings aren't increasing standby draw beyond normal.

The AEi base station won't start charging the handset after I put the new battery in — the charge light stays off.

This happens when the cell voltage drops below the base station's acceptance threshold during storage — usually below 3.0V. Remove the handset, wait 30 seconds, and reseat it firmly so the charging contacts make clean connection. If the light still doesn't come on, wipe the base contacts with a dry cloth to clear any oxidation. Once the cell crosses 3.0V, the base charge controller will engage normally.

My AEi handset lost its pairing with the base after I replaced the battery — it won't connect.

Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, which wipes the DECT pairing registration stored in volatile memory on some AEi models. To fix this, re-register the handset manually: press and hold the FIND or PAGE button on the base for five seconds until the base enters registration mode, then follow the handset's on-screen pairing prompt. Consult the model-specific guide for your VX-8x08 or AGR variant if the handset doesn't show a pairing prompt automatically.
