Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel-Lucent 3MG08009AA / Wide Band 4.1 Bluetooth — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (GSP04253501A)
This 3.7V 320mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the GSP04253501A in the Alcatel-Lucent 3MG08009AA and Wide Band 4.1 Bluetooth cordless handsets. At 37.00 x 25.00 x 4.60mm, it fits the original battery compartment without modification. Capacity matches the OEM spec at 320mAh (1.18Wh).
- 3MG08009AA and Wide Band 4.1 platform: Both handsets share the same 3.7V single-cell Li-Polymer rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake — one battery covers both. The BMS monitors cell voltage directly; no firmware pairing is required between battery and base station.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran charge and discharge cycles on this cell and confirmed BMS cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold. The protection circuit tripped cleanly at the expected floor, with no false overcharge flags during the charge phase.
- First-cycle charging on Li-Polymer cordless handsets: After installing this battery, seat the handset in the base and allow a full uninterrupted charge before first use. Li-Polymer cells in low-current cordless chargers can take longer than NiMH equivalents to reach rated capacity on the first cycle — pulling the handset early shortens that first charge.
Talk time shorter than original battery after replacement
A new Li-Polymer cell ships partially discharged for transport safety — typically at 40–60% state of charge. If you use the handset before completing a full charge cycle, available capacity is lower than rated. The BMS also needs one or two full charge-discharge cycles to calibrate its voltage-to-capacity curve accurately. Run two complete cycles — full charge, use until the handset signals low battery, full charge again — before judging talk time.
Handset not pairing or re-registering after battery swap
Some DECT handsets lose their base station registration when power is fully removed during a battery change. The handset stores pairing data in volatile memory on certain Alcatel-Lucent models, and a cold swap clears it. Re-registration is done from the handset menu under Settings → Register Handset, or by holding the Find/Page button on the base for five seconds until the base enters pairing mode. Check your handset manual for the exact sequence — the process takes under two minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Alcatel-Lucent 3MG08009AA base station shows no charge light after I installed the new battery — what's wrong?
A Li-Polymer cell shipped in storage state can present a voltage low enough that the base charging circuit doesn't recognise it as a valid pack. Seat the handset firmly in the base and leave it for 30 minutes — most Alcatel-Lucent bases will begin trickle charging once the cell voltage climbs above the acceptance threshold. If the charge light still doesn't appear, remove the handset, reseat it, and check the charging contacts on both the handset and base are clean and making full contact. The base should show a solid or blinking charge indicator once the cell reaches approximately 3.0V.
The handset drains completely overnight even when it's sitting in the base — is the battery faulty?
Overnight drain from the base usually points to a seating issue, not a faulty cell. If the handset isn't fully clicked into the charging cradle, the contacts don't complete the circuit and the handset runs on battery in standby. Check that the handset seats flush and that the charging contacts on both sides are free of dust or oxidation — a pencil eraser clears light tarnish on the base pins. If the handset seats correctly and still drains overnight, check the base power adapter is delivering consistent voltage; a failing adapter interrupts the charge cycle without triggering an error light.
Range dropped noticeably after I swapped the battery — did something go wrong during installation?
Range loss after a battery swap on DECT handsets is almost always a voltage sag issue, not a fault with the installation. When a Li-Polymer cell hasn't completed its first full charge cycle, available voltage under the RF transmit load drops faster than it would at full capacity — the handset's transmit power follows that voltage sag, reducing range. Complete two full charge cycles first. If range is still short after that, confirm the replacement cell voltage reads 3.7V at the terminals with a multimeter — a cell stuck below 3.5V at rest indicates a storage fault and should be replaced.
