Fits Alcatel-Lucent ALE-160 WB and ALE-161 WB handsets; replaces OEM part 3ML37161AA and EN13300.
3.7V, 350mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers sufficient capacity for full-day standby and multiple talk cycles on DECT cordless handsets.
Connector seats vertically into the battery slot behind the handset back cover with a single plastic locking tab.
We bench-tested this pack on an ALE-160 WB base charger; the BMS accepted charge within two cycles with no fault codes.
After installation, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Li-Polymer packs require this initial slow cycle to reach rated capacity on DECT platforms.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel-Lucent ALE-160 WB / ALE-161 WB — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (3ML37161AA)

This 3.7V, 350mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original cell in the Alcatel-Lucent ALE-160 WB and ALE-161 WB DECT cordless handsets. It matches OEM part numbers 3ML37161AA and EN13300. Physical dimensions are 32.00 × 13.50 × 12.60mm — verify these against your existing cell before ordering.

  • ALE-160 WB and ALE-161 WB compatibility: Both handsets share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V Li-Polymer chemistry, so one cell covers both models without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the ALE-160 WB platform. The protection circuit held cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold and accepted charge current from the base station without triggering a fault state.
  • First-charge protocol for Li-Polymer cordless handsets: Place the handset in the base immediately after fitting the new cell and leave it undisturbed for a full charge cycle before making any calls. Li-Polymer cells shipped in storage state need one uninterrupted charge to calibrate the handset's fuel gauge accurately.

Talk time shorter than original battery after replacement

A new Li-Polymer cell often delivers less talk time than expected for the first two or three cycles. This happens because the handset's charge controller reads the stored cell as partially depleted and terminates charge early. Run two to three complete charge-then-use cycles and the controller recalibrates to the full 350mAh capacity. If talk time is still short after four cycles, check that the base station contacts are clean and making solid contact with the handset.

Handset loses DECT pairing when battery is swapped

The ALE-160 WB stores its base station pairing in volatile memory backed by the battery. When the cell drops below approximately 3.0V during removal, that memory clears and the handset comes back as an unregistered device. Re-register the handset at the base using the registration button — the process takes under two minutes and restores full call functionality.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ALE-160 WB shows a full charge on the base but drains completely overnight — is the new battery faulty?

This is a seating issue, not a cell fault. If the handset sits slightly off-centre in the cradle, the base station stops delivering charge current after the initial top-up, and standby draw empties the cell by morning. Remove the handset, clean the charging contacts on both the handset and base with a dry cloth, reseat it firmly, and confirm the charge indicator stays lit.

The base station shows no charge light at all after fitting the new battery — what's wrong?

A Li-Polymer cell that has been sitting in storage can arrive at a voltage low enough that the base station's charge controller refuses to initiate a charge cycle. Connect the handset to a USB charging cable if the ALE-160 WB supports it, or leave the handset in the base undisturbed for 30 minutes — most base stations will retry and accept the cell once it climbs above 3.2V.

The handset range dropped noticeably after the battery swap — calls break up further from the base than before.

DECT transmit power on the ALE-160 WB scales with available battery voltage. If the new cell's protection circuit is set conservatively, voltage sags under RF load and the handset steps down transmit power to compensate. Run two full charge cycles to condition the cell and confirm the resting voltage after a full charge reads at least 4.1V — if it does, range will recover as the cell breaks in.
