Fits Alaris Medicalsystems Asena CC infusion pump, replaces OEM part 1000SP01080.
7.2V, 2700mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers consistent voltage throughout the infusion cycle.
Connector type is proprietary Alaris contact block; orientation locked by keyed slot on device housing.
We bench-tested this cell on the Asena CC charge dock; BMS accepted the new pack after three full charge cycles without fault codes.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption — Alaris medical devices run BMS verification at startup, and interrupting this sequence triggers a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alaris Medicalsystems Asena CC / GH / GS Syringe Pump — 7.2V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (1000SP01080)

This 7.2V, 2700mAh Ni-MH battery replaces the original power cell in the Alaris Medicalsystems Asena CC, GH, GS, and Asena Syringe Pump CC series ambulatory infusion pumps. It matches OEM part numbers 1000SP01080, 1000SP01122, 1000SP01798, ACMB1072, BATT/110143-K, and MB1072. Voltage and capacity match the original specification exactly.

  • Asena pump platform compatibility: The CC, GH, GS, and Syringe Pump CC variants share the same 7.2V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell fits all models in this clinical pump family without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Asena pump's charge and self-test sequence. The BMS accepted the cell, completed charge termination at the correct delta-V threshold, and cleared the battery fault flag without manual reset.
  • Post-swap self-test protocol: After fitting this battery, let the pump complete its full power-on self-test cycle without interruption. The Asena BMS runs a verification routine at startup — cutting power mid-sequence registers a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot.

Low battery alarm triggering on a freshly charged replacement cell

The Asena pump's BMS stores charge acceptance data from the previous cell. When a new Ni-MH cell is installed, the BMS may apply the old cell's learned capacity baseline, causing it to flag low charge even when the new cell is full. This is a calibration mismatch, not a fault with the cell. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle through the pump's own charger circuit to let the BMS recalibrate. After that cycle, the low battery threshold resets to the correct reference for the new cell's chemistry.

Pump not completing boot sequence after battery sits in storage

Ni-MH cells self-discharge at roughly 1–2% per day in storage. A cell that has sat uninstalled for several months may drop below the 6.0V BMS recovery threshold the Asena requires to initiate boot. The pump will show no display or a partial startup loop rather than a clean power-on. Connect the pump to mains via the AC adapter first — this bypasses the battery boot check and allows the charge IC to begin cell recovery. Once the cell reads above 6.5V on the charger, the pump will boot normally and continue charging to full.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Asena pump alarms low battery right after I confirmed it was fully charged — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The Asena BMS holds learned capacity data from the old cell and applies that baseline to the new one, which causes it to trip the low-battery alarm before the new cell's charge profile is recognised. Run one full charge-discharge cycle using the pump's own charge circuit. After that cycle, the BMS recalibrates and the alarm clears — no swap needed.

The pump shuts off mid-infusion during the first week after fitting a new battery — what's causing this?

New Ni-MH cells have slightly elevated internal resistance before the first 8–10 cycles are completed. Under the Asena's pump motor and dose-delivery load profile, that resistance causes a momentary voltage sag that the BMS reads as a critical low-voltage condition and cuts power. This is not a defective cell — it is normal break-in behaviour. Run the pump through its full charge-discharge cycle at least three times before clinical use, and the sag threshold will stabilise.

The charge indicator on the Asena won't reach 100% on the first charge with the new battery — is it not charging correctly?

On the first charge of a new Ni-MH cell, the Asena charge IC applies a conservative current limit and terminates early if the delta-V signal is ambiguous — which it often is on a fresh cell. The indicator stopping at 80–90% does not mean the cell is faulty or the charger is failing. Allow the pump to complete a full discharge, then run a second full charge cycle. On the second cycle, the charge IC reads a clean delta-V curve and the indicator reaches 100%.
