Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel One Touch Idol 4S — 3.84V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLp030F1)
This is a 3.84V, 3000mAh Li-Polymer cell that replaces the original TLp030F1 battery in the Alcatel One Touch Idol 4S and One Touch Idol 4S LTE smartphones. It fits OT-6070 and OT-6070Y variants and matches the physical dimensions of the factory cell at 76.60 × 66.40 × 3.60mm. Capacity is 11.52Wh, identical to the original specification.
- OT-6070 series compatibility: The OT-6070 and OT-6070Y share the same battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both. Alternate OEM part numbers TLp030F2, CAC3000020C1, and CAC3000028C2 all map to the same physical and electrical specification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on OT-6070 hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, charge termination triggered correctly at full voltage, and the protection circuit responded normally to load spikes from the modem and display.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: After installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. The fuel gauge IC in the OT-6070 calibrates its coulomb counter against the discharge curve — skipping this step leaves the gauge reading from the old cell's reference data, causing erratic percentage jumps for several days.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Idol 4S after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff problem, not a capacity problem. When the modem transmits or the display peaks, current draw spikes sharply. A new cell that hasn't been cycled yet has a slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, and that impedance causes a voltage dip the BMS reads as a low-voltage cutoff event. The phone shuts off even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. Run two or three full discharge-charge cycles and the impedance drops — the shutdowns stop.
USB fast charge not working on the first cycle after replacement
On the first charge after installation, the charge IC may not negotiate the fast-charge protocol with the new BMS. The device defaults to standard 5V charging as a safe fallback. This is normal — the BMS and charge IC exchange handshake data over the first full cycle before fast-charge current is accepted. Connect the phone to a compatible charger, let it complete one full standard-rate charge, then fast charging should activate on the next session. If it doesn't after two cycles, check that the charger output is at least 9V/1.67A.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Alcatel Idol 4S shuts off at around 25% after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly elevated internal impedance before it's been cycled, and the modem or display can pull enough current to dip the cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold even when the gauge shows charge remaining. Run two or three full discharge-charge cycles at standard rate and the impedance settles. The shutdowns stop once the cell breaks in.
The battery percentage on my Idol 4S is jumping around erratically after I replaced the battery — it went from 60% to 40% in seconds.
The fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve it mapped from the old, degraded cell. The coulomb counter reference data doesn't update instantly — it recalibrates over one or two full discharge-to-charge cycles against the new cell. Let the phone discharge to around 5%, then charge it fully without interruption at standard rate (not fast charge). After that cycle the percentage readings stabilise.
The phone gets warm near the battery area during the first few charges after the swap — should I be concerned?
A new Li-Polymer cell has higher impedance on early cycles, so the charge IC pushes slightly more voltage to maintain current, generating more heat than usual. This is temporary. The warmth should reduce noticeably after the second or third full charge cycle as the cell's impedance drops. If the phone stays hot to the touch beyond the third cycle or the charger is rated above 18W, switch to a lower-output charger and check that the charge termination voltage is not exceeding 4.40V.
