Fits Vodafone Smart Platinum 7 and VFD 900 models; replaces TLp030F1 and TLp030F2 batteries.
3.84V at 3000mAh supplies the power envelope this phone needs for full system load without throttling.
Connector slides straight into the original slot with no locking tab; orientation marked on pack.
We bench-tested discharge at 1C load; BMS held 3.84V plateau until cutoff, fuel gauge tracked cleanly.
On first use after install, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to recalibrate the fuel gauge IC against this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vodafone Smart Platinum 7 / VFD 900 — 3.84V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLp030F1)

This is a 3000mAh (11.52Wh) 3.84V Li-Polymer cell for the Vodafone Smart Platinum 7 and VFD 900 smartphones. It replaces OEM part numbers TLp030F1 and TLp030F2. Fit this battery when the original cell no longer holds a charge through a normal day of use.

  • Smart Platinum 7 and VFD 900 compatibility: Both models use the same battery bay dimensions (76.60 × 66.40 × 3.60mm), voltage rail, and connector pinout, so a single cell covers both. The BMS communicates over the same handshake protocol on each device.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the VFD 900 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the fuel gauge IC began tracking state-of-charge correctly after one full cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: Disable fast charging for the first complete discharge-charge cycle after fitting this battery. The fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — one slow cycle at standard current lets it map the new cell accurately before high-current charging begins.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Vodafone Smart Platinum 7

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under load from the modem or display — the phone reads 25% but the cell cannot sustain voltage above the hardware cutoff. It is not a software bug. The fuel gauge IC is reading a discharge curve that no longer matches the aged cell's real capacity. A replacement cell with a full charge curve will eliminate these cutoffs once the fuel gauge recalibrates after one full cycle.

Battery percentage jumping erratically after fitting the replacement

The coulomb counter in the fuel gauge IC holds learned data from the old cell. After a swap, it applies that stale curve to the new cell, causing the percentage to jump or stall. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one full discharge to around 3% then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging — the fuel gauge will lock onto the new cell's curve and readings will stabilise from the next cycle onward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my Vodafone Smart Platinum 7 shut off suddenly when the battery still shows 20% charge?

The cell voltage collapses under modem or screen load before the fuel gauge reaches zero — the phone hits the hardware voltage cutoff even though the percentage display hasn't caught up. This is a voltage-cliff failure in the aged cell, not a software issue. Fitting a fresh cell solves it, but run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard speed first so the fuel gauge IC can recalibrate its curve against the new cell. After that cycle, shutdowns at 20–30% should stop.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?

It is not faulty. The USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge handshake between the charge IC and a new BMS can fail on the first connection because the controller defaults to standard current until it trusts the cell. Unplug, wait 10 seconds, and reconnect — most devices accept the fast-charge protocol on the second attempt. If it still charges slowly, complete one full standard-speed charge cycle, then fast charging will typically engage on subsequent connections.

The phone won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months before fitting — what happened?

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent unsafe charging of a deeply discharged cell. Connect the phone to a low-current charger (a standard 5W wall adapter, not fast charge) and leave it for 30–60 minutes without attempting to power on. The BMS recovery circuit needs a trickle current to bring the cell voltage above the lockout threshold — once it crosses roughly 3.0V, normal charging resumes and the phone will power on.
