Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel One Touch Pixi Glitz — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TLi011A1)
This is a 3.7V, 1450mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Alcatel One Touch Pixi Glitz and Pixi Glitz 4G smartphones (models A463, A463BG). It replaces OEM part number TLi011A1 when the original cell has degraded, stopped holding charge, or failed completely. Dimensions are 64.25 x 49.88 x 4.20mm — verify these against your original battery before fitting.
- Pixi Glitz and Pixi Glitz 4G compatibility: Both the standard A463 and the 4G variant share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. One cell fits both boards without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the Pixi Glitz platform. The BMS handshake completed correctly, charge IC accepted the cell without fault flags, and voltage held stable under combined screen and modem load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle before normal use. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve. Skipping this step causes the percentage counter to read against the old cell's data, which leads to inaccurate reporting from the first charge onward.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Pixi Glitz after a cell swap
This shutdown pattern is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity issue. When the modem transmits or the screen backlights at full brightness, current draw spikes sharply. A new cell that hasn't been calibrated to the fuel gauge IC can drop below the BMS cutoff threshold under that spike — even when the reported percentage looks healthy. The phone cuts out to protect the cell, not because charge is actually gone. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without fast charging, and the fuel gauge IC will track the real voltage curve accurately enough to stop triggering premature cutoffs.
Phone shows erratic or jumping percentage after replacement
Erratic percentage readings — numbers jumping five to ten points in either direction — happen because the coulomb counter is still calibrated to the previous cell's discharge profile. The IC is estimating state-of-charge against data that no longer matches the cell installed. This is not a fault in the replacement battery. Charge the phone to 100% without interruption, let it drain fully to auto-shutdown, then charge again uninterrupted to 100%. After that full cycle, the fuel gauge IC resets its reference points and percentage reporting stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Pixi Glitz won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?
Most likely the cell dropped below 2.5V in storage and the BMS has locked it out to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 30 to 45 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs time to trickle current into a deeply discharged cell before the BMS will release the lockout. If the charge indicator light hasn't appeared after that period, check that the battery connector is fully seated and retry.
Fast charging stopped working the first time I charged the new battery — the phone just charges slowly now.
On the first cycle with a new cell, the USB charge negotiation can fall back to standard 5V charging because the BMS hasn't yet confirmed cell parameters to the charge IC. This is normal behaviour on the first cycle. Unplug, let the battery drain down to around 15%, then reconnect using the original charger and cable. After that initialisation cycle, the charge IC re-negotiates correctly and fast charging resumes on subsequent sessions.
The phone feels warm near the battery while charging — is something wrong with the new cell?
Mild warmth during the first few charge cycles is expected on a new high-impedance cell. The charge IC works harder to push current into a cell that hasn't been cycled yet, generating slightly more heat than a broken-in cell would. If the phone stays warm enough to be uncomfortable to hold, or if warmth continues past the third charge cycle, check that the battery contacts are clean and the connector is fully clicked in. Normal operating temperature during charging should fall below 40°C by the third or fourth cycle.
