Fits Alcatel Plex T780H smartphone; replaces OEM battery TLP037A7.
This 3.85V 3750mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full charge capacity to an aging Plex handset.
Connector seats into the stock battery slot with standard spring contacts; no adapter needed.
We bench-tested this pack on a Plex motherboard — BMS initialized cleanly and voltage held steady under modem load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell curve before USB-PD pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel Plex / T780H — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLP037A7)

This 3750mAh (14.44Wh) Li-Polymer cell replaces the original TLP037A7 battery in the Alcatel Plex and T780H smartphones. It matches the stock voltage rail at 3.85V and fits the existing battery bay without modification. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.

  • Plex and T780H compatibility: Both models use the same 3.85V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both variants without any hardware change.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Alcatel platform and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell without fault codes. The charge IC brought the cell to 4.35V within spec and held the cutoff correctly at low state of charge.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging pushes load into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.

Why the Plex reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Alcatel Plex uses a coulomb counter that learns the discharge curve of whichever cell is installed. When you swap in a new cell, that stored curve no longer matches the fresh chemistry. The OS reads a stale model and displays percentages that don't reflect actual charge state. One full discharge to auto-shutdown followed by a complete uninterrupted charge resets the counter against the new cell's actual curve. After that cycle, percentage readings stabilise.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the modem or display draws a spike the cell can't sustain at low state of charge — voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold before the OS reads 0%. A fresh Li-Polymer cell at 3.85V nominal has a steeper voltage cliff in the bottom third of its charge than a partially degraded original cell. After one full calibration cycle, the fuel gauge IC maps the cliff correctly and the OS shuts down at the right point. If shutdowns persist past two full cycles, check the charge IC output — it should reach 4.35V at full charge before the issue can be attributed to the cell.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Alcatel Plex won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

Li-Polymer cells in storage self-discharge slowly, and if the cell dropped below 2.5V, the BMS has locked out to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 30–40 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs time to trickle current into the locked-out cell until the BMS releases at approximately 3.0V, at which point the phone will boot or show a charging indicator.

Fast charging stopped working after I installed the replacement TLP037A7 — the phone just charges slowly now.

The USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge handshake on the Plex sometimes rejects a new cell on the first cycle because the BMS presents an impedance profile the charge controller doesn't recognise as within its fast-charge window. Discharge the phone fully to auto-shutdown, then charge it uninterrupted from a flat state using the original Alcatel charger. On the second cycle, the charge IC typically accepts the handshake and fast charging resumes at the correct current rate.

Battery percentage jumps around erratically — goes from 60% down to 35% in a few minutes, then back up.

This is the coulomb counter recalibrating against a cell chemistry it hasn't mapped yet. The old discharge model stored in the fuel gauge IC no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity curve, so percentage readings skip as the OS interpolates between mismatched data points. Run one complete uninterrupted discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. The gauge IC writes a new curve from that cycle and erratic jumps stop.
