Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel V860 / OT-V860 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CAB6050001C2)
This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-ion cell for the Alcatel V860 and OT-V860 smartphones. It replaces OEM part numbers CAB6050001C2 and CAB6050000C1. If your original cell is swelling, dropping charge rapidly, or no longer powering the handset through a standard day, this is a direct swap.
- V860 and OT-V860 compatibility: Both model designations share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both. The 64.65 × 43.92 × 3.94mm footprint fits the tray without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and load on the V860 platform. The BMS accepted charge from the device's onboard charge IC without triggering overcurrent cutoff, and voltage held stable under combined modem and screen load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging if your charger supports it and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before resuming normal use. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the V860 after a cell swap
The V860's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve calibrated to the original cell. When you fit a new cell, the IC's cutoff voltage model no longer matches actual cell chemistry. Under modem or screen load, the new cell's terminal voltage drops faster than the IC expects, triggering an emergency shutdown even though the coulomb counter still shows charge remaining. Run two full discharge-to-charge cycles without interruption — by the second cycle the IC recalibrates its endpoint voltage to approximately 3.4V and shutdowns stop.
Device not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 2–3% per month in storage. If the cell dropped below 2.5V before installation, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks charge current to prevent thermal runaway from over-discharged cells. The phone will show nothing — no boot screen, no charging indicator. Connect to a wall adapter rated at 5V/1A and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button; the BMS trickle-charges the cell back above the 2.5V threshold before allowing normal charge current to resume.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Alcatel V860 show 25% battery and then shut off without warning after fitting the new cell?
The fuel gauge IC on the V860 is still using the discharge curve it mapped to the old, degraded cell. The new cell's voltage drops more sharply under load — modem transmit bursts in particular — than the IC's model predicts, so it hits its emergency voltage floor while the percentage counter still reads 20–30%. Run two uninterrupted full discharge-to-charge cycles and the coulomb counter recalibrates its cutoff to match the new cell's actual voltage floor near 3.4V.
The battery percentage on my V860 is jumping around erratically — it reads 60%, then suddenly 80%, then drops to 40%.
Erratic percentage readings mean the fuel gauge IC is actively recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve and has not yet established a stable model. This is normal for the first one to three cycles after a cell replacement. Do not interrupt charges during this period — partial cycles extend recalibration. After two complete discharge-to-charge cycles the IC locks in a stable curve and percentage readings settle.
The V860 feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is something wrong?
A new Li-ion cell typically has higher internal impedance than a cell that has been cycled a few times. Higher impedance means more energy is dissipated as heat during the initial charge cycles, which produces noticeable warmth at the battery cover. This normalises after three to five full cycles as the cell's impedance drops. If the device becomes hot to the touch rather than warm, or the charge IC cuts out before 100%, check that the charger output does not exceed 5V/1A for the first cycle.
