Fits BoostMobile VENI and LG730 smartphones; replaces OEM battery part LMS770XL.
This 3.7V 2400mAh Li-ion cell restores full talk and standby time on the VENI platform.
Connector slides straight into the original battery slot with a single retention tab lock.
We cycled this cell on a VENI test unit; the fuel gauge IC tracked discharge curves cleanly without early cutoff.
On first charge after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the coulomb counter recalibrates to this cell's discharge signature before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BoostMobile VENI / LG730 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 2400mAh Li-ion cell for the BoostMobile VENI and LG730 smartphones. It replaces the original battery when capacity has dropped or the cell has failed outright. Voltage and physical dimensions match the stock cell exactly: 64.85 × 43.26 × 10.50mm.

  • VENI and LG730 compatibility: Both devices share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.7V nominal rail, and connector pinout — one cell covers both. The BMS handshake protocol is identical across this hardware revision.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full charge-discharge sequence and monitored BMS cutoff behaviour at low-voltage threshold. The protection circuit tripped correctly at the expected floor, with no false cutoffs under simulated screen-plus-modem load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. The fuel gauge IC on the VENI calibrates its coulomb counter against the cell's discharge curve — skipping this step on a new cell causes the percentage readout to drift mid-cycle.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BoostMobile VENI

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. When the modem fires for a call or the screen peaks brightness, current draw spikes sharply. A degraded or uncalibrated cell cannot hold voltage through that spike, and the phone's power management IC interprets the sag as an empty battery and cuts out. Replacing the cell removes the source of the sag, but the fuel gauge IC still needs one full cycle to map the new cell's discharge curve accurately. Until that cycle completes, shutdowns at apparent 20–30% can persist.

Phone reports wrong battery percentage after cell swap

The VENI's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the old cell in its coulomb counter. After swapping to a new cell, that stored curve no longer matches the actual chemistry — so the percentage shown is mapped against stale data. The fix is one uninterrupted discharge from 100% to auto-shutdown, followed by a full charge to 100%, with fast charging turned off. After that single cycle, the IC resets its reference points against the new cell and percentage accuracy stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BoostMobile VENI won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer for a few months — is the battery dead?

Most likely the BMS has locked out the cell due to deep discharge below 2.5V per cell, which is a protective shutdown — not permanent damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger (not a PC port) and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. If the BMS can recover the cell, the charging indicator will appear on screen. If there is no response after 45 minutes on charge, the cell has dropped too far for BMS recovery and replacement is the next step.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in the new battery — did I get a faulty cell?

This is normal on the first cycle with a new cell. The USB-PD or proprietary charge protocol on the VENI negotiates charge rate with the battery's BMS, and on a fresh cell the BMS defaults to a conservative current limit until it completes one handshake cycle. Charge once at standard rate to 100%, let it discharge naturally to around 20%, then charge again — fast charging will be accepted from the second cycle onward once the BMS has cleared its initialisation flag.

The percentage on my VENI jumps around erratically — it went from 60% to 34% in two minutes without me doing anything heavy.

Erratic percentage jumps are the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against a new cell it has not yet profiled. The coulomb counter is interpolating between stale reference points from the old cell, so the displayed value can skip or drop sharply under any real load spike. Run one full uninterrupted discharge from 100% to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% with fast charging off — this gives the IC a clean dataset to rebuild its curve from. After that cycle, percentage readings will stabilise at the correct value.
