Fits Alecto DVM-75 and DVM-75-00 parent units; replaces OEM part P002095.
3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers stable voltage for two-way audio and night vision IR operation on the handset.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation marked on the unit housing.
We bench-tested this cell in the DVM-75 parent unit; the BMS accepted charge at 300mA without fault codes or early cutoff.
After battery installation, re-pair the parent unit with the camera unit by holding the sync button for three seconds — wireless link drops after complete power loss.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alecto DVM-75 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (P002095)

This is a 3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH battery for the Alecto DVM-75 and DVM-75-00 baby monitor parent unit. It replaces OEM part P002095. When the original cell can no longer hold a charge, the parent unit loses portability — this battery restores it.

  • DVM-75 and DVM-75-00 parent unit fit: Both model variants use the same parent unit housing, connector pinout, and 3.6V Ni-MH cell specification. The BMS on the parent unit charges at the same rate across both — one battery covers the full DVM-75 range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge cycles on a DVM-75 parent unit. The onboard charge circuit accepted the battery without fault, and the BMS terminated charging cleanly at full capacity with no thermal event.
  • Re-pair the parent unit after fitting: Replacing the battery causes a full power loss to the parent unit. The DVM-75 loses its wireless link to the camera unit when power is interrupted. After fitting this battery and charging, initiate the re-pairing sequence from the parent unit menu before expecting live audio or video.

Parent unit range reduced after battery swap on the DVM-75

The DVM-75 parent unit's 2.4GHz radio transmitter draws from the same cell that powers the screen and speaker. At low state of charge, the radio runs at reduced output power — this shows up as dropped audio, static, or a shorter effective range even in the same room. A freshly fitted Ni-MH cell at low voltage from storage will produce the same symptom. Charge the parent unit to full before testing range. A healthy cell should stabilise above 4.2V across the pack before the unit leaves the cradle.

Parent unit screen stays on all night and battery is flat by morning

The DVM-75 parent unit defaults to keeping the screen active during overnight monitoring. The display and backlight are the largest continuous current draw on this 700mAh cell — more than the speaker at typical volume. With the screen running all night, a 700mAh cell at Ni-MH discharge rates will not last until morning. Go into the parent unit settings and enable the screen timeout or VOX-activated display mode. This alone can significantly extend how long the battery lasts between charges.

Frequently Asked Questions

The DVM-75 parent unit won't connect to the camera after I replaced the battery — what do I do?

A full power loss to the parent unit wipes the wireless pairing link on the DVM-75. Fitting a new battery resets the unit to an unpaired state, so the camera and parent unit no longer recognise each other. Hold the pairing button on the camera unit, then initiate the search or re-pair function from the parent unit menu — the exact steps are on page 8 of the DVM-75 manual. Once paired, the link restores fully.

Night vision on the DVM-75 camera isn't working after the battery swap — is the camera broken?

The camera unit runs on its own mains power, so night vision is independent of the parent unit battery. If night vision has dropped out, the most likely cause is the wireless link between the units — IR activation is triggered by the parent unit signal, and a dropped or incomplete pairing after the battery swap will suppress it. Re-pair the units using the pairing button on the camera and the search function on the parent unit. If the link is solid and IR still fails, check that the camera's night mode setting hasn't been reset to off.

The DVM-75 parent unit battery drains much faster than the original — is the new battery faulty?

Ni-MH cells ship in a partially discharged state and don't reach full capacity until after two or three full charge cycles. If the parent unit is also running with the screen on continuously overnight, a 700mAh cell will deplete faster than expected regardless of cell condition. Run two full charge-to-flat-to-full cycles before judging capacity, and enable screen timeout in the parent unit settings. After conditioning, a healthy cell should hold charge through a normal overnight monitoring session without the screen active.
