Fits Amazfit Pace smartwatch models A1612 and A1602, replaces OEM battery PL372427V and PL372427U.
3.8V, 290mAh lithium-polymer cell restores multi-day activity tracking and GPS function on this fitness watch.
Connector seats flat into the watch battery slot with no locking tab — alignment matters for charger contact.
Bench test showed the fuel gauge IC accepted the new cell after a full charge cycle from power-off state.
After fitting the new cell, place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately and charge to 100% before first use — the fuel gauge IC cannot calibrate without a full charge cycle from near-zero after a cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Amazfit Pace / A1612 / A1602 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PL372427V)

This 3.8V, 290mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Amazfit Pace smartwatch, covering model numbers A1612 and A1602. It powers the display, optical heart rate sensor, GPS module, and BLE stack. Dimensions are 28.60 × 23.70 × 3.70mm — confirm your existing cell matches before ordering.

  • Pace / A1612 / A1602 platform fit: All three model numbers share the same PCB layout, connector pinout, and BMS handshake requirements. The fuel gauge IC on this platform expects a 3.8V nominal cell — substituting a 3.7V cell causes false low-battery shutdowns at partial charge.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Pace platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the fuel gauge re-calibrated correctly after a full charge-to-cutoff cycle post-swap.
  • Post-swap charge protocol for Pace: After fitting this cell, place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately and charge to 100% before first use. The fuel gauge IC on the Pace loses its reference voltage when the old cell is disconnected — without a full charge cycle from near-zero, it will report inaccurate percentages for days.

Why the Pace battery reads 0% right after a cell swap

The Pace uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state relative to a stored reference. When the old cell is removed, that reference is wiped. The IC has no data to work from, so it defaults to 0% or shuts the watch down entirely. This is not a fault with the new cell. Charge the watch to 100% uninterrupted on the magnetic charger — the IC resets its baseline at the top of the charge curve and reads normally from that point forward.

Pace not pairing to the phone after battery replacement

Removing the battery cuts power to the BLE controller mid-session, which drops the active pairing key stored in the watch. The phone still holds its end of the bond, but the watch no longer recognises it. Go into your phone's Bluetooth settings, forget the Amazfit Pace device entirely, then re-open the Zepp or Amazfit app and pair from scratch. Do not attempt to pair before the watch has completed its first full charge cycle after the swap.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Amazfit Pace shows 0% and won't turn on after I replaced the battery — is the new cell dead?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the Pace loses its charge reference the moment the old battery is disconnected, and it defaults to 0% with no data to calculate from. Put the watch on its magnetic charger and leave it until it reads 100% — the IC recalibrates at the top of the charge curve. If the watch still will not respond after a full charge, check that the battery connector is fully seated on the PCB.

The Pace battery is draining in about a day — it used to last several days. What's pulling it down?

Continuous heart rate monitoring and always-on GPS are the main draw on this platform. If either was re-enabled after the swap — or if the Zepp app pushed a firmware sync in the background — current draw spikes significantly. Check the app settings and confirm continuous HR mode and background GPS are set to the same intervals you used before. A new cell also tends to run warm for the first several charge cycles as the electrodes settle, which slightly increases self-discharge until it stabilises.

The magnetic charger isn't registering on the Pace after I reassembled the watch — the charging icon never appears.

The most common cause is the charge contacts shifting slightly during reassembly. The Pace back cover has four small pogo-pin contacts that must align precisely with the magnetic charger's pins. Remove the charger, clean both contact surfaces with a dry cloth, then re-seat the charger and press it gently until the magnet locks flat. If the icon still does not appear, check that the battery connector on the PCB is fully clicked in — a partially seated connector can prevent the charge circuit from activating even when the contacts are aligned.
