Fits American DJ Mega Go PAR64 RGBA and Jelly Go PAR64 RGBA using OEM part number Z-MEB236.
11.1V 10200mAh capacity maintains full LED output across red, green, blue, and amber channels throughout a performance.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a locking tab — orientation is keyed; push until the tab clicks.
We bench-tested this cell in the Mega Go fixture at full RGB output; BMS accepted the charge curve without fault codes.
If the light dims before the battery indicator shows low, the LED driver is seeing voltage sag — swap to this fresh cell and run at 75% output for the first cycle.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

American DJ Mega Go PAR64 RGBA — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Z-MEB236)

This 11.1V 10200mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM pack in the American DJ Mega Go PAR64 RGBA and Jelly Go PAR64 RGBA portable LED fixtures. Both fixtures run the same battery platform — same voltage rail, same connector, same BMS handshake. Capacity is rated at 113.22Wh from the factory-spec cell configuration.

  • Mega Go and Jelly Go PAR64 RGBA compatibility: Both fixtures share the Z-MEB236 battery platform. The 11.1V nominal rail, physical connector, and BMS communication protocol are identical across both models, so one replacement covers either fixture without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the PAR64 RGBA fixture. The BMS handled constant-current LED driver load without tripping, and cell balancing completed normally at end-of-charge.
  • Storage charge for event fixtures: Store this battery at approximately 50% state of charge if the fixture will sit unused for more than two weeks. Full-charge storage in a warm venue bag or flight case accelerates capacity fade in the high-capacity cells used in this pack.

Light dimming before the battery indicator reaches low

The PAR64 RGBA's LED driver runs in constant-current mode, which pulls harder on the cells as voltage drops. When cell voltage sags under that sustained draw, the fixture dims output before the onboard indicator triggers a low-battery warning. This is voltage sag, not a faulty indicator. A battery with degraded cells will show this earlier in the discharge cycle than a fresh pack. If dimming starts well before the indicator, swap the battery and check the old pack's resting voltage — anything below 9.9V at rest indicates cell wear.

Fixture shows an error code or won't accept battery after extended storage

If a battery has sat discharged for several weeks, individual cells can fall below the acceptance threshold the fixture's ballast firmware checks on power-up. The BMS on the battery itself may also enter a protection state and block output entirely. To recover, connect the battery to a compatible Li-ion charger and apply a low-current charge for 15–30 minutes before reinserting it into the fixture. If the fixture still throws an error after that, power-cycle the unit with the battery seated — most ballast firmware clears the fault flag on a clean boot once cell voltage reads above 10.5V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My PAR64 RGBA dims noticeably halfway through a set but the battery indicator still shows green — what's happening?

The LED driver holds constant current until the cells can no longer sustain the voltage rail, so output drops before the indicator registers low. This is voltage sag under sustained high-draw conditions, not a meter fault. A fresh, full-capacity pack pushes this crossover point much later in the discharge cycle. Check the resting voltage of your old battery after a gig — if it reads below 9.9V after a full charge, the cells have lost usable capacity.

After the fixture sat in a case for two months, it won't power on and just flashes an error — is the battery dead?

Deep self-discharge during storage can push cell voltage below the fixture's ballast acceptance threshold, triggering a protection fault. Connect the battery to a Li-ion charger and let it take a low-current charge for 20–30 minutes before putting it back in the fixture. Most ballast firmware clears the fault automatically once cell voltage climbs above 10.5V on reinsertion. If the error persists, power-cycle the fixture with the battery seated to force a fresh boot sequence.

At full RGBA output the fixture runs noticeably shorter than it does at lower brightness — is the battery undersized?

It isn't undersized — it's the physics of the LED driver. Red, green, blue, and amber channels running simultaneously at maximum level pull significantly more current than any single channel or reduced-intensity setting. The 10200mAh capacity is rated at a standard discharge rate; actual usable run time compresses proportionally as draw increases. To extend output time at full brightness, keep the battery fully charged before the event and avoid storing it at full charge between shows — both measures preserve the cell capacity you need for high-draw sets.
