Fits Archos 50 Titanium 4G smartphones; replaces OEM part AC50TI4G battery.
3.7V, 1800mAh capacity powers calls, messaging, and applications on this device.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single retention tab.
We bench tested this cell on the Archos platform; BMS accepted full charge without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Archos 50 Titanium 4G — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (AC50TI4G)

This 3.7V, 1800mAh Li-ion cell is a direct replacement for the Archos 50 Titanium 4G smartphone. It fits both the 50 Titanium 4G and A50 Titanium 4G variants. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds voltage under screen or modem load.

  • 50 Titanium 4G and A50 Titanium 4G compatibility: Both model names refer to the same hardware platform — same connector pinout, same 3.7V nominal rail, same BMS handshake. One cell covers both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and load on the 50 Titanium 4G platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and charge termination fired correctly at 4.2V.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. The fuel gauge IC on this phone calibrates against the cell's discharge curve — skipping this step leaves the coulomb counter offset against the new cell, which causes erratic percentage readings early on.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Archos 50 Titanium 4G

This is a voltage cliff failure, not a capacity problem. When the cell's internal resistance rises with age, voltage sags sharply under modem transmit bursts or screen-on load — even if the gauge still reads 25%. The phone's power IC interprets the sag as a depleted cell and cuts out to protect the SoC. A fresh 1800mAh cell with low internal resistance holds voltage flat through those load spikes, so the shutdown threshold at around 3.4V is not tripped mid-use.

Phone won't power on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If this cell dropped below roughly 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent damage — the phone will show nothing when you press the power button. Connect the phone to a wall charger, not a PC port, and leave it for 15–20 minutes before attempting to power on. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell up to the BMS re-enable threshold of around 2.9V, after which normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Archos 50 Titanium 4G shuts off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is something wrong with the cell?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the discharge curve of your old, degraded battery. It's reading voltage against the wrong reference, so the phone cuts power before the new cell is actually empty. Run one complete discharge — use the phone until it shuts itself off from true depletion — then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter resets against the new cell and percentage readings stabilise.

The OS is showing the battery percentage jumping around erratically — it went from 60% to 41% in two minutes without me doing anything heavy.

That's the fuel gauge IC recalibrating. When a new cell goes in, the IC's stored charge-curve data no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity relationship. Until it completes a full reference cycle, percentage estimates are unreliable. Do one full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — after that cycle, the IC locks onto the new cell's curve and percentage reporting settles.

Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery on my 50 Titanium 4G — it only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, some charge controllers withhold high-current charging until the BMS has confirmed the new cell is within safe voltage and temperature bounds. This is normal behaviour — it is not a fault with the replacement cell. Charge the phone fully once at standard rate, let it complete, then disconnect and reconnect the charger. Fast charge protocol negotiation typically resumes from the second cycle onward once the charge IC has logged a full-cycle baseline against the new cell.
