Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

KONKA iQ440 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (KLB175N267)
This is a 3.7V, 1750mAh Li-ion cell that replaces part number KLB175N267 in the KONKA iQ440, IQ4402, IQ4404, and IQ4415. It is a direct cell replacement for units where the original battery no longer holds charge or causes unexpected shutdowns. Capacity is rated at 6.48Wh.
- iQ440 series compatibility: The iQ440, IQ4402, IQ4404, and IQ4415 share the same battery bay dimensions and connector pinout. All four accept the KLB175N267 footprint — 60.70 × 54.98 × 4.87mm — so the same cell fits across the range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the iQ440 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge IC stepped through trickle, constant-current, and constant-voltage phases as expected.
- First-cycle fast charge tip: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and complete one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.
Why the iQ440 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The fuel gauge IC on the iQ440 builds its percentage model from the previous cell's charge history and internal resistance data. When a new cell goes in, that learned curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry. The IC keeps referencing the old model, so the display shows inaccurate figures — sometimes jumping several percent in seconds. One full discharge down to automatic power-off, followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100%, resets the coulomb counter and realigns the gauge to the new cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under modem or screen load — a voltage cliff the fuel gauge did not predict. The phone's protection circuit cuts power before the displayed percentage reaches zero. It is not a faulty cell; it is the gauge IC still running calibration data from the degraded original battery. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without fast charge, and the shutdowns should stop. If the phone still cuts out, check that the resting cell voltage at "30%" reads above 3.6V — anything lower points to a wiring or contact issue rather than the cell itself.

Frequently Asked Questions
My iQ440 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in storage — is the cell dead?
It is likely a BMS lockout. When a Li-ion cell drops below roughly 2.5V from extended storage, the BMS trips a protection latch and blocks normal charge current. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will feed a low trickle current that slowly recovers the cell voltage until the BMS resets and normal charging resumes.
Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after fitting the replacement — what happened?
The USB-PD or proprietary fast charge handshake failed on the first cycle because the new BMS had not yet completed its initialisation sequence. This is common on first connection. Complete one full charge at standard speed, unplug, then plug back in — the fast charge protocol should negotiate correctly on the second connection. If it still fails, try a different cable rated for fast charge, as a resistor fault in the cable prevents the voltage step-up request from reaching the charger.
The battery percentage on my iQ440 is jumping around erratically — 60% one minute, 45% the next — after I fitted this cell.
The coulomb counter inside the fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's actual discharge curve, which differs from the degraded cell it previously tracked. The erratic readings are the IC correcting its model in real time. Drain the phone completely until it powers off on its own, then charge it to 100% in one uninterrupted session. After that single full cycle the gauge stabilises and percentage readings settle to within a few points of accuracy.
